No we don't have them.
I found this really cool nursery, wasn't really impressed with the perennial selection but their inside store was AWESOME. They had it laid out by style, victorian in one section, ultra modern in another, whimsical in another, etc. The prices weren't bad either. I didn't buy anything but will suggest to my hubby a gift certificate from them for my next whatever(bday, Christmas, anniversary)
Garden Objects Revisited
Hey!! All you cruisers in all kinds of Nurseries----
PLEASE let me know if you find one that sells Kelp Meal in a larger amount that the 4lb. bag by Espoma for almost $13-$14....What a rip-off!!!!
I LOVE using this product--but the price has gone out of this World!!!!...and I cannot afford it!
Gita
Collections Etc used to be good but now getting into some real corny stuff
Definitely some "corny stuff", you just have to be "selective" :)
Hart, thank you, I think! LOL Peebles is about the only store we have in town and I thought about going in there the other day when I was headed to Walmart. Thought nah, I don't need any clothes and it would just be a waste of my time. BUT, I forgot, they sometimes do have some cute garden decor. Putting it on my list for the next time I head in that direction, you never know what I might find :)
Pat, I don't think my snail needs a "new home". LOL I've found one that looks like yours and is already on my Christmas list for this year :)
I've actually got an idea for a pedestal for the mirrored object but won't know if it works until I get set up to start working with some cement :) And yes, as soon as the Bluebird arrives and I've got him attached to his new home I'll post pictures.
I did manage to get a few more pictures yesterday and will be posting a few on the Spring Projects thread but here's the "objects". This is the other bird from Collections, etc. in the Welcome Garden. When it arrived it wasn't quite like I pictured, the "stone" body was almost RED! Fortunately after leaving it out all winter it faded and looks a little more realistic now. Another "solar" object I either forgot to turn on or the battery's already dead!
Too late Diane! I have 2 welders in the barn already. The worst thing I've done to myself with them was an instant sunburn one day I was in too much of a hurry to put on a jacket for a "small" repair. LOL Ric
Love that girl, she is just beautiful. LOL on the doorway. I haven't put many of my Garden Objects out yet, haven't had time to unpack most of them.
Angie, I really like your little girl too and she looks so nice sitting by the water :) The fat frog sitting next to her is cute too!
Holly, as soon as you have a chance to get your Garden Objects into the garden I want to see those blue lights you got from Collections! I just received the order from them that included the Bluebird for my Clay Pot Lady but it's much larger than I thought it was going to be. I haven't tried to attach it yet but I'm thinking it's going to be a little too big for what I had planned, I think he's almost bigger than her head :( I've already placed two of the other "objects" I received in the gardens and I love them! Hoping to get pictures today so you can see them.
JoAnn, glad you found us! I've always admired the sculptures in your gardens :)
ohh I love the bear!! I've always LOVED watching the chainsaw guys at the county fair, I want a big turtle or moose!!!
I'm on the look out for bee themed goodies for my newly renovated pollinators paradise ;)
Thanks the bear grows on ya.
Here is the whole enchilada

Very nice ge, I just love the birdhouse and the tree earring. The farm equipment art is from a house in Fl. that was near my FIL's home. Not ours but it sure was interesting.
RCN I did put out one set of lights, Not in spread out in the beds the just in a spot for now. I think they look good and show up nicely at night. Not sure they give enough light to walk a path but you can easily see the blue flowers from the house.
There are a lot of Sculptors using old machinery. Its really very clever.
Love Everything!!
Now your talkin
Missingrosie, I love your broken things, do you think you will frame it? Also that pond sitter is really nice.
Hi Ge (still love those sculptures of yours)
Thanks Holly
It is tempered glass that I had saved (to purposely break to cover a bowling ball) and so I probably won't frame it, since fairly tough. Can't see it from that photo but the piece is perhaps 17 inches long and when it is out in the sun it sparks up pretty good. I think I will use it as a 'stake' in the ground in a sunny spot. Will need to find something to function as the 'stake' part and finish it up with some more glued gadgets for the front of the glass.
Its amazing
I just love the way that tempered glass shatters - so put a small amount along the edges.
What is amazing is that the glue held up. I don't have much luck with glue outdoors and this has been sitting outside leaning against the porch for at least two seasons - rain and snow.
This is madame. My brother (who doesn't really think things through) bought her for me for my birthday. He and I try to find things for the others house that...... well........we might have a love/hate relationship with. (You ought to see the wooden wall mask I found for him.... it is at least 2.5 feet long and about 6 inches wide..... with looong wire spikes for 'hair' -- looks exactly like Kramer from Seinfeld --big bulgy eyes and thick brows. I thought I had him good with that one. But he loves it!!! And, Kramer wears his sunglasses (fits perfectly) each evening so he can find them in the morning. Anyway, he bought me this fish - we call her Madame-- and I thought about putting her outside ...but I don't think she can take it. I think her sparkles would fall off for sure.
Here's another fish and this one was costly. I jammed it in the ground (had to step on these two metal 'shoes' built into the bottom portion of the stake to do it) and I POKED a hole in the pipe that brings water to the pump in the pond. All the water flowed out in just a day (I didn't know I did it) We had dug it all up before I figured out what the leak could be. The water flowed underground instead of along the top. Boy, was in the the ole dog house for that one.

Put the fish in the DL's.It will look like it swimming in sea grass.
Ah Ge, I wish I had daylillies. The deer....the deer... Just today... I have flown out of the house like a lunatic waving and screeching at this deer with horns at least 8 inches long. He just keeps coming back. He travels alone. He is chewing on all the stuff that normally the deer leave alone. Today he got the laminium, abelia, redbud and he was pulling at cleyra(?spell) and a chinese fringe tree. That fish..... I think it is the color. I get what you mean tho about the sea grass. I do have some other plants that may work but I have tried having it 'swim' in many kinds of shrubs.
rosie,
Here is a link I saved recently listing all kinds of "recipes" and suggestions on how to control all the critters that munch on our gardens.
Deer is the second listing down.....
Hope some of this helps.......Gita

thanks gita!! will check it out
I spray every 3 weeks ,deer or not.I have nearly 80% of my 2 yearold garden about to bloom in the pay-off and I want to see every last petal.
I took mu paintings out of the gallery in town and dont paint verymuch anymore so the garden is the creative energy. It pays off much better than the art-work.
I have just 1 gallery left in another town near the lakes. It actually feels good to be out of that part of my life.I just paint for me now.
Cool objects missingrosie and neat idea for the "love/hate" birthday gifts! I was going to suggest putting your fish stake by the pond but seems like you've already got one there! LOL
I took my camera out yesterday to get pictures and when I clicked the first picture my batteries were "exhausted" :( They're in the charger so hope to get some today!
