I jammed it in the ground (had to step on these two metal 'shoes' built into the bottom portion of the stake to do it) and I POKED a hole in the pipe that brings water to the pump in the pond. All the water flowed out in just a day (I didn't know I did it) We had dug it all up before I figured out what the leak could be. The water flowed underground instead of along the top. Boy, was in the the ole dog house for that one.
