Lack of new articles

Is it just my imagination, or has the number of new articles dropped drastically? My initial impression is that the majority of the daily articles are reprints.

Thanks to the prolific writers, we have a "stockpile" of over 2,000 articles, many of which were published when our newsletter readership was pretty small.

Last summer, we began to re-air some of the earlier articles alongside new articles, handpicking out the articles that are particularly timely.

To answer your question: this is not a new phenomenon, we've been doing this for about a year now, and the articles are about half-and-half new vs. encores. (Most days it's exactly that - one of each ;o)

I finally have some time and have just started to read the articles (still not many, but at least trying). So even old articles are interesting to me as the topics are frequently timeless and new to me. I will probably never catch up, but the repetition is not bad for me, although I realize it may not be as good for more faithful members who have kept up.

I agree! I like the "one old, one new article" format :)

I too like alternating articles between old and new. There are many
that I missed in the past as well as some that are delightful to
re-read.

I think the flow of articles tends to drift a bit in the warmer months, too, as the writers spend more time actually working in their gardens, instead of just writing about them. :-) At least you know that the writers are real live gardeners, not people writing about something with which they have no experience. LOL
