Greenhouse Gal, Chouette is a doll, and I agree... how cool is it to have a name that means.... well..... COOL?
Lynn, did you find your camera yet? We need pictures! Henri will be all grown up way too soon... you need pictures of the adorable stages so you remember why you still tolerate them as they get older and still get in trouble every now and then....
(This actually wasn't trouble... it was her toy... but it's only been a few months since this yard area was littered with bits of hose that WASN'T hers!)

Henri
Rarejem, looks like a very satisfied dog there. I can just see her thinking, "Ah, a job well done!"
I agree. She looks happily exhausted from all that toy-gutting . . .
Isn't that the truth!
Lynn, if you still can't find your camera, just drop by with Henri and we'll satisfy some of the picture cravings. Yard work is the definite order of the weekend here!
Henri just had his first vaccinations yesterday. He has an umbilical hernia, which the vet will repair when he gets neutered. Hmmm, Henri will get neutered, not the vet. These pain pills have altered my brain.
Yes, Sharon, Lynn will thank you later and We will thank you. Poor baby, umbilical hernia - good that they found it and will stitch it back up.
Are you still hurting, Lynn, from your surgery? Sorry to hear that.
It's only fair that vets get neutered too, is what Henri thinks.
:-)
Gosh, Lynn. He's totally a fluff ball. Now, seriously, wasn't it better recuperating with a sweet little warm fuzz ball laying on you?
I love it! What precious pictures of your new cuddlebug. I hope you are both on the mend from recent surgeries.
Henri is terminally cute. What kind is he, again? I love fluffy little dogs! And how big will he get?
Terminally cute ---love that phrase! I agree totally.
The dog's cute and the kid's not too shabby either. What a charmer!
Lynn, I am so glad that you found your camera! He is just adorable... I love the pic of you napping together! Isn't a nap with a puppy just the most wonderful thing? Can't wait to spend time cuddling him this weekend!
I was so relieved to find my camera. But, in the meantime, I talked myself into the idea that I NEEDED a small, pocket sized camera. So yesterday, I gave Joey some money, and he came home with a Canon PowerShot SD780 IS from Costco. I love it. Now, I have to learn to use it properly. I think I screwed up already. The instructions said to format the card, so I did Low Level Formatting. I have no clue what that was, or if I should have not done that.
Oh I love your new baby. I have also 'sat' with bichons-up here-two neighbors at different times-both female-both named Mandy. With the first one, I had a white poodle named Mandy. It gets confusing.
Dh and I have been suffering with the sore throat, congestion thing. Ugly but he is over it and I'm getting better. Have not been sick for years.
Patricia, I thought you had been kind of quiet. Glad you got this over with and are on the mend. And your hubby, too.
That face - how could you ever deny anything to him?
He is so adorable; it makes it awfully hard to train them when they're so cute!
I taught Chouette to roll over when I say, "Let's see that tummy!" She gets a nice rub for a reward.
Cute little furball.
Hubby and his brother saw 3 cute little furballs while they were canoeing in PA. A mother bear and her 3 little cubs. They said they were really cute, but were glad they were in the canoe and the bears were on the bank.
I moved the wireless dog fence to this thread.
I would like to get a wireless fence to protect him from the road, as he is so quick. He USUALLY stays close to me in the yard, but when the neighbor dogs wander over to visit, he is running full speed to play with them. It would also come in handy when we go visiting.
We are going to install a doggy door, as well.
He went to the vet this week, and tomorrow he will start taking predisone for 2 weeks. We also changed his food to Hill's Potato and Venison. He has been scratching himself raw, poor little guy. He is also taking an antibiotic for 3 weeks. He has so many little scabs on his head and body. We don't know if it is a food allergy, environment, or nipped at on the head one too many times when playing. He has calmed down a lot though! i ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT LITTLE GUY!!!
Henri of course is a doll but that big dog is really neat in his overalls.
Lynn, I just got back from vacation and wanted to visit this thread first. Aren't they adorable pups? I'm sorry poor Henri is so itchy. I wonder if it might be flea allergy? This time of year we have to be sure our two are protected against fleas because they scratch themselves raw, especially Fran. Changing to a completely natural food has helped.
Down at the marina we have a new boat neighbor lady who has a Norwich Terrier pup named Pearl. That pup is so adorable and sweet that we want to take her home with us. She is a perfect 'boat dog'.
Welcome back, Pixy. We missed your lively conversations!
The vet said he doesn't have fleas (yet). We switched foods from Blue Buffalo to Hill's Science Diet. I might try some "home cooked" recipes later on.
