Change default diary ?

This may have been asked and answered in the past - if so, sorry!

Is there a way to change my default diary? It's not a huge issue for me, but it's defaulting to my 2009 garden and I'd like to change it to 2010. Maybe something obvious that I'm missing...?

I have the same question. I've tried rearranging the order of them, but no help. I have a "To Do" diary as well as a general "Garden" diary and would like the Garden diary to be the default as it is the one I use most often.

If you are talking about your Gardening Blog, I think you just go the "My Tools" action bar (for me it's on the right side) and then under "Blog" you select "Change Tab Order" and then it will allow you to move your diaries up or down in the order that they would appear.

That doesn't do it for me -- my tabs are in the order I would like to see them and it still brings up the 2nd blog/diary first. The terminology is a bit confusing as well -- I think of the blog as a journal, and the journal as a database.

Ditto, I've rearranged the tabs but it doesn't change which one comes up as the default. (thanks for trying, though!)

Bonehead, I agree about the terminology, the blog/diary seems more like a journal than the journal does. And I keep trying to make use of the journal, but it just seems too time-consuming to bother with for what I want it to do.

The only other thing I could think of would be to change the date on the blog because it looks like they always show the most recent entry first.

Weedwhacker, I maintain my own plant database on my computer, with photos and info useful to me (like where it is), and actually trust that better than anything I might find in cyberspace anyway. I use the DG diaries for a daily journal with pictures now and again. Also as a To Do list, which I then delete once the task has been accomplished. It may well be karma that is insisting that my To Do diary is the default...

Gardensox, I don't think that will work either -- I use what I would like to be my 'main' blog/diary much more frequently than the 'default' blog/diary, yet the default continues to be the less used blog/diary. Thanks for your continued suggestions. I keep poking around myself trying to fix this, to no avail.

LOL -- I need to keep a list to keep track of my other lists!

I've actually been thinking of keeping a photo journal of my garden by using one of the photobook programs -- I have "Picaboo" on my computer that I used for an album from a trip a couple of years ago. You then have the "book" on your computer and can look at it just like an album, flipping the pages; you can share it with other people if you want to, and you can have it printed out as an album. I've already started using it to organize my family, etc. photos on a yearly basis, I can scan in ones that other people give us and it's nice to be able to write a caption on the page by the photo instead of on the back. Maybe someday I'll even get around to organizing that box of pictures that we've accumulated over the years!

I may have to relook at the various photo products available. I finally bit the bullet and went digital about 3-4 years ago and now miss looking through photo albums. My pics are organized OK but not easy to just scroll through unless everyone crowds around the computer -- not quite the same feeling as bundled up on the couch with a blanket and various albums.
