Thanks - no shortage of fantastic architecture throughout NYC - from Dutch times to the present.

Victor, loved the nicely pruned tree, arborist skills are underappreciated.

NYC looked hot, but nice photos.....HayHay had a princess cake, too.

A few weeks ago I was on the river fishing with DH & my brother (Brian & Brian). We put in at the Gardnier boat landing and head south towards Bath, Maine. If Bath sounds familiar it's where they build the many of the military vessels. Bath Iron Works has built and sometimes designed battleships, frigates, cruisers and destroyers, including the Arleigh Burke class, which are among the world's most advanced surface warships.
Anyways....I almost always bring my camera in the boat with me as I never know what I might see. I say "almost always" because of the 21 Seals incident!!! So on this day I snapped some Osprey pictures, Bald Eagle, shore line and of course some of the cranes that dot the area surrounding Bath Iron Works.

Bald Eagle.....can you see him? Something white flashed in the green of the tree.....

If it wasn't for the white, i'm not sure I would of spotted him.

He was sitting in one of the tree's on an island.

There are lots of little islands in the river for him to frequent and never see man.

A house that I hope has really good flood insurance! IMHO....thats just plain stupid!!
Anyone from Maine who knows the Kennebec River and it's History of flooding will agree.

Small little cottage/boathouse on the water. You wouldn't catch me here in April! ^_^

This is a nice little sailboat, again house on the water. This one sits back more but it's in a lower spot and again...not safe from flooding.

The many cranes that dot the area.....

Bath Bridge, Bath Iron Works barely visible to the right.

Closer look at the cranes....at this point we are under very close scrutiny. We know our boat # is being run, and our pictures are being taken .

Any closer and we will soon have a boat come out to MEET, not GREET us! LOL
You can pass by B.I.W. your just not supposed to come within X amount of feet of a certain area or you will be met by a security boat, and yes they are armed.
A few days after these shots were taken, one of the smaller cranes tipped over. :o

I didn't see the Bald Eagle on the 1st photo, but after looking at the second photo, I just thought, "WOW."

I've never seen one in nature...ever!
