oops sorry onewish you're still posting. I will wait.
nope done... it's all you!!!
what no dancing to go with that singing... IT'S AN OUTRAGE!!!!
:)
one wish I have to save myself for the all nighter with the seedlings in my office. Also I still have some almost, mostly, probably really dead shrubby things that need my happy feet right now. The dancing never ends. It's a given ^_^
I hope we can meet in person someday... you make me giggle
There are a lot of white irises so you would have to have some clue for ID. Plum Quirky looked normal to me. It is a miniature tall.
it's shorter than my tall ones... but bigger than the minis... who knows????... I split this one a few times.. and different areas are different heights ... it's white
:)
It should be yellow standards & purple veined fall as your picture. Miniature talls run from 16" to 27" although many of them are in the mid 20s. That particular iris should not be white. See the classification of medians on their web site median iris.com
Wha, I have never seen a tri-colored beech. Cool looking, very dramatic. Shirazz like. I still haven't picked our Shirazz up, perhaps next week.
Onewish1, love that Iris Plum Quirky and your Weigela Carnaval and I never really liked them before seeing yours.
I took some shots today, before I did perhaps the dumbest gardening thing I ever have done. It was late in the day, and I was done with major work to build a raised bed and plant the veggie garden, so I was beyond tired, However, I noticed some dead branches in a scrub oak and got busy pruning them. I should have had a ladder, but I pulled down the offending dead branch and started cutting when it suddenly snapped out of my grip and the pruners went flying. Of course I was looking up and the pruners came down, whacking me in the nose and then stabbing me in the arm. My nose was cut across the middle, not badly and I have a punctured and very sore arm. I assume I may get a black eye. Dumb of me for sure. Lucky I didn't get hit in the eyes. And yes, I did go back and finish the pruning.
Today's blooms. Patti
you are a true gardener Patti... hope you are ok... and don't get a black eye!!!!.. amazing how many blooms you have!!!... the weigela loaded with blooms really does scream across the yard... wish I had a spot that was more in view for them.. but they are making good of a spot that is very rocky and had a ton of roots from trees we took down ... they were little twigs when I first planted them.. and I like that they throw blooms out now and then during the summer
Good Morning everyone and thanks for the compliments.
Every DG'er weather "ubergardner" or hobby gardener has helped me by being open about how they deal with successes or failures, sharing that info helps a lot.The 3 year project is such a great outlet for my creative energy and a definate pay-off bigger than the art world right now.
Thanks everyone
Wow Allison, everything is popping at your house! Love, love that snow angel :)
D-nut that gold clem is stunning!!
Patti, as always beautiful pics and a amazing amount of blooms!! Hope you don't get the black eye and heal swiftly. Maybe a welders mask when pruning from now on?

Thanks all, no black eyes this morning, just a swollen nose and a small cut. Love the helmet. But I think I will just be more careful in the future.
Ge1836, love following your projects, inside and out.
Today we will finish the veggie bed and then we have to move a bunch of Narcissus, Iris, sweet fern, ink berry, a big high bush blueberry bush and a few other things, as we have to replace a failing timber wall and repair stone stairs. We have a small excavator coming in tomorrow. So this will be a big ugly mess for a the summer and right near the front door. Wrong time, but it is what it is and it has to be done. Not a project that I want to do. Patti
glad you like it Celeste!!!... the mail man will be here in a couple of hours... hope it comes today ::::clapping::::
Randy has a welding helmet with a skull and flames on it... my neighbors already think I am whacked.. can you imagine me walking around outside with that on
do it! do it! do it!
LOL, Allison. Patti, you're lucky it wasn't an eye that got cut! Sounds like quite a project with the steps. Love those irises, esp. Royal Sultan. Plum Quirky is very pretty too, Allison. Dnut, that clem will look queenly when it gets the blooms. Here are some dianthus edging the south garden....no winter damage this year on them......
Wonderful
I like that WC. Lotsa nice pics posted. Got ourselves a puppy after long procrastination. Oh well- my daughter's grinning from this ear to the next and the puppy seems to have a sweet temperament.
My iphone pics are downloaded to my mac, but when I choose it is no longer there to add. Any takers on troubleshooting.
No iphone or Mac here, but if you start a new thread with a question here you're sure to get the answer. ☺
