That's what I do...the sibs are the ones with tangly roots....the TB are easy to divide.
Whaddya say??
Keep the siberians wet--ask Polly about it.
Didn't know that....will do.
Wet while transplanting & a short time afterwards. I didn't know if I was clear on the earlier post.
I usually soak iris for a few hours....if they are from HD & dried out, I'll soak them overnight.
Soak beardless, but roots only on the bearded, not the rhizomes.
I'm so excited to see so many of my iris's blooming this year. Only one has opened, but many more to come. I'll take a shot of the pretty yellow and white one that has opened tomorrow. Thank you, Lucy and Marilyn, for the good advice!
How did you get off "allowances" and get to "plants" (lol)!?!?!?!? I got an allowance of $.50/wk which was good money, esp since soda and candy bars were 5 cents. Unfortunately I never learned to save well. My kids didn't get an allowance but were given money when asked.
that happens quite often Frank
:)
You just can't take the gardener out of any of us, Frank! LOL We hear allowance, we think plants!!
