If your time in the upper right-hand corner is off, please check your preferences and see if the time zone needs to be changed.
To do that, click on "My Info" (link is in the bar just beneath the tabs across the top.)
Choose "Manage your preferences" and look for the pulldown list under the question "What timezone are you in?"
Select the right time zone and be sure to press "Save the changes" when you're done.
Setting your clocks
Thanks Terry, mine is fixed. :-)
This brings up a good point.
Between March–April through September–November, it is summer in the northern hemisphere, where many countries may observe DST, while in the southern hemisphere it is winter. During the rest of the year the opposite is true: it is winter in the northern hemisphere and summer in the southern. Daylight saving time is also called summer time or daylight savings time. When DST is not observed, it is called standard time, normal time or winter time.
To find out if your location is currently in Daylight savings time or Standard time please visit:

In California we are observing Pacific Daylight Time ("PDT"). My time on davesgarden.com was an hour off because my timezone was set to Pacific Standard Time ("PST"), so I went into My Info (located at the top of this page), then in the "Your Actions" section I clicked on the link that reads "Manage your preferences.". On the fifth option of the page, "What timezone are you in?", I was able to switch my timezone in the drop down menu. Then of course I hit the "Save the changes" button to save my new timezone setting.

I just changed mine from -6 to central standard, and no change on the time... i'm still an hour off.
Yeah, there's definitely an issue with the time stamps. I know they're working on a fix and I know they really wish it were an easy fix!
I ended up switching to Eastern... that was my quick fix. ;-)
I had to change my time too. I've always had it set at Central Standard Time because that is my time zone. When I noticed that my time was off my an hour, I checked my preferences and discovered that it was set on UTC-6. I did not make this change? I put it back on Central Standard Time and it was still an hour off! Now I have it set on UTC-5 to show the correct time for me. Apparently something is not working correctly but I was able to "Rig it" to my time zone.
Wouldn't you be on Central Daylight Saving Time? (UTC-5 is equivalent to CDT. Both options are available in the pulldown list of time zones.)
So I am guessing that I will need to change it again when we "fall back?" I thought it always changed automatically while staying on CST.
This must be something new because I have never needed to change my time before now.
Besides, I thought UTC was equivalent to GMT. Guess it doesn't matter much to me - just advising that my time was off and I had to adjust it to something different than before.
I *think* the automatic adjustment moved you from CST to CDT during the affected time period. So moving back to CST right now would throw your time off by an hour. As far as I know, UTC and GMT are pretty much equivalent. (I'm sure there's a reason to have them both.)
As far as what happens in the fall..we'll have to wait and see ;o)
I finally scrolled and found additional choices and have corrected my clock, but when I started looking for a fix, my time zone was also set as UTC-6, which I never selected (and have no clue what is.)
I think UTC-6 is equivalent to CST.
Thank you. I had to go to Pacific Daylight and now I am on the correct time. Now lets all click our Ruby slippers and make everything else fixed.
Sharon, you're in an area that doesn't recognize DST, correct? (Those always get a little wonky.)
Terry, LOL. "There are very few rules we follow in Las Vegas. Oh to be Paris Hilton or someone her age with her money. LOL, how about half her money. . She was at every $15,000 Cabanana this weekend having a great time. I am here at home trying to figure out how to plant my coleus in 97 degree heat with 6% humidity. 67 to 97 in one week.
You have all my support and I just want to garden. God bless you and your family wherever they are. .
I think mine is finally correct... back to Central.
