I Got you Babe, ...part 2.

To the right of the living room is the bedroom.

And through the second door return to the kitchen, which also had the fireplace!

Although in the cabinet below was a basket of three large logs, we didn't have a fire.
We discussed the thought but agreed fires are too much work and we Really didn't want to be responsible for anything to
catch fire from sparking cinder pieces.

We both fell madly in love with our "castle". We were excited to look out the windows to this magnificent view!

Upon seeing it, I was almost drawn to tears. Oh how gorgeous and green, Tree's! Birds singing! and how incredible a Train! with mountains even! in the country!

Yes I was home, in awe and so very happy, we both were.

Somewhere in the valley below, we awoke each morning with the roosters crow!

and the mountains. Now, lol Steve will argue with me, but I do believe those mountains in the way back there are the Alps!
I will explain that a little later...

Now I could hear the birds singing. Knew they were their, but this is the only bird I actually saw each day.

After settling in we decided we should go the the nearest Ibercoop to get food and supplies.
An Ibercoop is Italy's SuperWalmart! But they have the most wonderful food market too.
So back in the car again and traveled several towns over to Montevarchi to go shopping.

My wonderful honey, is also a great Chef at heart, created our first,
very Romantic dinner. In our Castle, in the country!

And a toast of thanks and love!

We watched the sunset beyond the mountains.

It was long and wonderful day, we dreamed of our visit to Volterra on the morrow.

Still think Judy you should have taken me with you...

Hi Betty, giggling, you WERE with me in spirit!
I can't even tell you how many times i thought of all of you.
Smiled at things I knew I had to tell and show you.

And I am so glad your here!

We awoke to the Sunrise.
Made a nice breakfast and ate on the terrace, While discussing the plan for the day.
Then we went into the kitchen and made a picnic lunch.

It was a nice sunny day without being overly hot, and no rain in sight.

While Steve loaded the car with our little silver cooler bag...

I locked up the door.
Well, for some reason I could only turn the key twice, so I left it at that.
Steve asked if I was sure I wanted to leave it that way, all I could do was laugh and say
if they can break in to even those two bolts, they can have our stuff! lolol.

At this point, I think I'll start a new page...
I think it's getting too long for our dial up travelers.
