Had a Hairy Woodpecker over the weekend. Wish it would come more often.

What awesome pics from everyone. The Reed Bunting is lovely, Resin. And that snow picture is beautiful. It's been so HOT it looks refreshing to me!

Nanny, Love the Catbird eating jelly! Nice ones of the Hairy and Goldfinch too.

Nice pics GP! Your Grackle looks hot like a lot of birds here (mouth open, wings held away from body). I like the upside down Red-bellied Woodpecker, it shows the features on the tail and back very well.

Thanks Pelle. Here's a really close look at the rear of a Red-Bellied.

Sorry to start a new thread a little premature but I want to avoid any conflicts tomorrow. Here is a link to the new thread.

Lots of great photos above, everyone. VA_Wild_Rose, if I knew I could photograph the Red-headed Woodpeckers at Blackwater, I would be planning a day trip. Were they along the wildlife loop ? Looks like you had a nice trip.

Red - your earlier pic of the ladybugs was cool. When their kids are ready, they're welcome
at my house. My honeysuckle was covered in aphids & 1 lonely little ladybug trying her
best to eat as many as she could! I squirted a lot of them off but still had to use insecticidal
soap.
