Jan your flower is a beauty!!

I SOOO wanted Petrocosmea sericea and forrestii the most but those were the 2 that they substituted. That's OK though. I'm happy with what I received.

I am SO impressed with Lyndon Lyon's plants too. I placed my order in February and knew they wouldn't be mailed until now but I can say; they were worth the wait. I am beside myself with how healthy and big they are. It was hard being patient but well worth the wait!!

I can't wait until the darn tomatoes are outside and I can start REALLY propagating! I just won 100 pots on E-Bay for babies *lol*

Went to take Mom on her errands yesterday. These are what I came home with, at $4.99 I didn't think it was to bad.

This one is a new Optimara. It was introduced at the national convention. I wanted it so badly, but John Cook had sold out before I could get one. I took the tag out because it was cutting a leaf and right now I just can't remember where I put it (old age)!! LOL! As soon as I find it I will post the name. The color is more fushia, as usual my camera doesn't get the colors right.

Melanie

No that's not pollen on the top blosom. Just a perlite piece. It took a spill on the way home.
Edited twice because I just can't spell this morning!

Got my first strep from Lyndon Lyon a few weeks ago. I ordered 'Roulette Azure' but got this one instead -- not sure what it is, but it's definitely pretty. And they're sending out the right one today -- bit of a pain, but a 2-1 deal !

Lost about 2/3's my collection this winter, and a lot of what's left is struggling. I am anticipating knee surgery at some point, so laying low. I do not have much blooming as well. So I will mostly lurk, but I'm around for now.....Still enjoying all the photos!

And we're lurking.......

Thought this was Lil Snowdrift, but not so sure now. This taken about a month ago--still blooming--seems to want to be a trailer. I have older pics of LSD--and this does not look the same--Whatever it is--it is a mini.

Taken last Oct--Lil Snowdrift--I hope it is off in a corner sulking--otherwise it met a dastardly fate, along with many others.

Couple more...A new one for me, and I have been nursing this plant along for @ a year--surprised it made it. I've never seen this one IRL before--are the blooms supposed to be tiny? This is it's first bloom.

Love your pictures Jan!! Nice to see your bunny again too.Your violets are lovely. All I seem to be doing is killing mine off since I have tried to start wicking.I can't beleive how many I've lost.

Lynn

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Hmmmm....perhaps wicking is the key? I started wicking...wait-let me look---BRB.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

The oldest pic I can find of wicking trays is 12/08--which is also when I bought my camera. I lost that plant last year--BTW. Before that time I usually bottom watered, and don't recall having any probs, including having some beautiful large streps, which I no longer seem to be able to grow at all! I will have to think on this some more!

What a cute bunny!!! And what beautiful pictures :) Lynn, I have some A.V.s big enough to take off leaves and start them. I should have some babies (keep your fingers crossed) for you to play with before long. I spoke to Travis a few weeks ago and he told me to use # 18 for wicking if that helps you any. I will get you and Sista Jan a d-mail shortly...lots going on and I am playing "catch up". So sorry.

Keep those beauties coming!!

Connie

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

Jan,
Some of the finest growers I know wick their plants. It just doesn't seem to work for me.Right now I am trying Goldleaf's mixture (Heidi) and putting perlite in the bottom of each cup.

Thanks Connie.Right now I am using 16.I think my last roll was 18.My Streps. are doing great, but I don't wick them.

Lynn

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

These are all first bloom.I don't wick.I use the strings for mat watering in a pinch.

LOL!!! To Funny!!! Columbus is a cutie even blushing LOL!! Keep us updated on your knee surgery. I am sure I will have some babies (plants not rabbits HA) to share with you :)

Lynn, I have already stuck leaves and enough that "I" will be begging "YOU" to take some if they produce :) I was having problems with them and I think I was trying too hard to get some starts going. I promised Melanie a trade and I failed on a tray of leaves for her. L for loser is on my forehead (wink) Well, I have several trays down now so..hee, hee...love ya Sis....(snicker) Your plants look awesome whether or not you wick.

Connie

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

Hey Sis,
Remember even if I don't have AVs to share right now I have lots of other Gessies!

Kim,
I have some Nemanathus, but 'Black Gold' is dealing me a fit right now.It seems like no matter what I do (pinch, feed, repot) it still wants to lose it's bottom leaves.

Phoebs,
I swear Columbus' hair gets longer everytime I see her/him (I forgot which).
