Jannich, Your babies are beautiful. How proud you must be of them. I love them! Lou

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Jan, I just LOVE your Baby Blues :)
You do SUCH an awesome job growing from seed (which has proven to be quite difficult for me). I admire your ability immensely!
I just LOVE the throat on Baby Blues :)
Be sure to save me some pollen *lol*

Always,
Kim

Oh, Kim!!!! Delete that one off until I get one!!! I have wanted that for awhile. Did you get it from DT? Where did you find her?

Okay, all kidding aside, that bloom is gorgeous!

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

It's not blooming but take a look at the Aeschynanthus Pink Wave (which I believe to be Thai Pink) I picked up at Lowe's last weekend. I sure do hope I get to see blooms this summer :)

You got that at Lowes? We just don't get much of a choice here. Looks so nice and healthy, Kim. Please post some pics of those blooms this summer :)

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm going to put a leaf down of Merry Christmas like Jannich instructed me to. I have put a leaf of Sinningia 1503 that Jan sent me down and it's already rooted so I KNOW I can do it with Merry Christmas too :) By fall I'm hoping to FINALLY have some nice things to offer everyone in trade. I'm trying ladies :)
I purchased my baby from Dave's Violets. I am especially fond of the larger and species sinningia rather than the minis. I love the larger growers and the micros the most. I'm having SUCH a blast with the micros.........take a look at the bubble gum machine I have Mighty Mouse planted in. So far so good..........he really seems to love it in there. Got the little bubble gum machine for $.15 or something like that after Easter *lol*

Again, not blooming yet but we were talking about fuzzy babies.
I am just LOVING this Petrocosmea Shortnin' Bread! I get up in the morning, pick it up, give it a soft little pat and talk to her *lol*. Don't laugh ladies..........I know you are *lol*

Oh, Kim...how cleaver. I would have never thought about something like that. You can find the deals and creativity!

Jan sure knows what she is doing. I love those Florist Gloxinias too. I have Jean, Samantha, Nancy and...and...(DUH) another one that I forgot LOL! If you want leaves, let me know. Samantha is setting buds and will "hopefully" be blooming before long.

Thanks for the info on Merry Christmas. Didn't know Dave's Violets had it.

And take a look at the 4 pet babies I'm nursing along.......
There are also 5 sinningia White Sprite that I grew from seed. I am SO proud of that!
All of this is possible because of a dear dear friend that helped get me started again that I will forever be grateful for :)
The little pots they are in is an herb garden I bought at Lowe's for $5.00.
I gave my friend the herb packets and planted the little pots up.
It has a dome too so it's a great little terrarium :)

Kim, good going on the growing!!!! LOL

Do the larger sinn.s just bloom once and go dormant, or do they continue to bloom? I want one and hope there might be one in the RR box. I have given up on all the beautiful streps. They don't like my atmosphere apparently. I just love them, but can't grow them. I'm hoping I can do better with sinns. Lou

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

Wow,Kim how pretty!! That little bubblegum machine is adorable.I never think of things like that.Your Aeschynanthus is such a find.
Lou,Don't give up.I know you can master Streps.^_^.

This is a lovely Sinn. Jannich grew from seed. It's not in bloom right now,but still growing strong.

Lou, I'll agree with you. Streps and me are like oil and water....we don't mix! LOL!! No matter how hard I try, they die.

I received a BEAUTIFUL order from Lyndon Lyon yesterday.
A real mix of plants. Some chirita, a codonanthe, couple of x-codonanthus, a couple nematanthus and 1 strep

Here is a closeup of the strep I received. I was tickled it was in bloom. I have already stolen the pollen and crossed with 2 Goose Egg flowers *lol*. I will pollinate it with Goose Egg pollen once it's ready :)
Oh, and don't you know I broke a leaf off unwrapping it. Darn it; hate that when that happens. Had to put the leaf down for babies *lol*

Now that's a bunch of nice looking plants Kim!

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Thank you SO much Jan, I am really looking forward to doing some propagating with them :)
Right now I have 60 tomato plants on the 1 light shelf that I have so I have to limit my gessie propagating a bit......
HOWEVER, there IS the bathroom window *lol* which I put the petrocosmea graveyard in today (I received leaves from a Cedar Creek order today). Where there is a will.........there is a way :)

Not alot of blooms right now but lots of buds everywhere.
However, this little guy was calling to have his picture taken.
Here is Mighty Mouse from my dear friend Bonnie.
For anyone that is new, this little guy is in a ketchup cup only about an inch in diameter.
Picture of the whole plant to follow:

I am SO enjoying these little micros!!!

Morning Kim,Ummm fresh tomatoes. I love them! My plants are full of flowers but no fruit yet.

L@@k at all those pets! I can see some trading going on this fall.Hey,a bathroom window 'works for me'.LOL.Those mirco mini are cuties!

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

That's the goal Jan, to have SOMETHING someone wants this fall *lol*
Of course the 2 pets I wanted the most are the 2 that they "substituted" with ones I didn't order :(
That's the way it goes sometimes I guess. Oh well.
I can't wait to get the tomatoes off the shelf and outside!
Tomorrow I'm going to do some propagating. Today I think it's an "outside" day.

Kim
