Congratulations on the new bird. The warblers are adorable!
Sheldon's Follies Spring 2010
What a wonderful day it was for you Burd. Thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures with the rest of us. I just now found the thread!
Oh Burd, these are fantastic. I love that shot of the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. It is beautiful. And the Ruby -crowned Kinglet from the back....AWESOME!
Wonderful shots Burd....it is hard to pick a favorite they are so beautiful. Love the Warblers they are so special and that Gnatcatcher is really nice. Your shot of the day of the GB Heron is awesome..love them all! Congrats on the new birds also...well done!
Thanks Gang! :) Of all the birds I have seen the Warbler's get my blood flowing the most. The colors have a lot to do with it but I appreciate hearing all the different song's they have.
I went again today for 45 min....quieter today but did hear a new song, but the bird was high up in the tree leave's and I never got a glimpse. Also heard a Red-eyed Vireo today, and seen a Field Sparrow that did not want his picture taken.
Did get a couple though.
White-throated Sparrow
Wonderful shots Burd! I love seeing the Spotted Sandpiper,Killdeer and Palm Warbler! Great shot of the White-throated Sparrow.
Seems you have a very nice birding spot there Burd. Enjoying your pics veyr much!
Very nice pics Burd!
Beautiful shots, Burd. I particularly like the first two of the Nashville Warbler and the Sandpiper.
Love your pictures! That warbler is so pretty with the blue sky.
Great job Burd, wonderful pics!
Great pics Burd, amazing birds and some familiar ones too...I'm itching to get out there, bit cold now. Still inspiring, thanks! Rian
Burd, this has been a really enjoyable thread. Thank you. I love the shots of the male Downy and kid. Wonderful flight shot of the Great Blue Heron. What happens during summer that you won't be going there?
Wonderful shots Burd! I love watching the adults with their juveniles. The Flycatcher is beautiful along with all the rest.
do you really think so?
Burd, I love all the pictures of yours. Especially the papa Downy feeding his young. But this is it! So cute an expression. Thank you, for sharing these with us on DG.
Nice shots, Burd. I know that around here, in the wetlands, the bugs can get a little irritating during the warm months of summer. Plus, I don't like the heat. So, if I go out, it's between 7:00 a.m.and 10:00 a.m. When it gets warm, the birds become lazy, also.
I like your Great Crested Flycatcher photos. I have one right behind my house but haven't gotten any photos. I'll eventually get one at the Patuxent refuge.
Thanks all! I will still visit the marsh occasionally but Linth is right with the heat of summer and me having to work in a very warm plant, the energy level for birdwatching goes downward. It will be very hot and humid next week (yuck). I do have a week off in July in which I will be working on photo's of the Red-tailed Hawk in flight out at my brothers place.
Lily, glad you liked that. :)
maybe a thread for Fall??
Really enjoyed our trip here!
