Anne, I asked on the other thread for a start of your copper canyon daisy. I have another gaura (siskiyou pink) that I would be happy to trade for it. Or, if you prefer, I could pot up another Salvia 'Henry Duelberg'.
Gulf Coast Round Up Trades #2 (The Woodlands, April 10)
Sandy Yes, I will take them both. Thank you.
I will make note of that and either or on the gaura and salvia would be greaat.
WillisTx - okay, that one worked. It's really a neat plant. Thanks and I'm looking forward to finally getting to "see" you Saturday and everyone else! It's going to be a blast!
Deb
Aunt Anne, I'll bring some bulbine for you. its orange and yellow.
Sapphirestar19... I'm not sure but I think Madrid2000.. might have let her DG membership expire for a few months, till they get settled trying to buy a new home... but I emailed her with your requests.... IF there is anyone else that wants anything, I'll let her know that as well.. Thanks!
Ginger if you have some extra Bulbine, I would trade something with you let me know. I need anything Drought resistant.
CEEJAY You do know I am bringing my truck? LOL
Thank you Ginger all except one little piece of mine died this winter.
Sylvia, how about hostas for some bulbine and what drought resistant plants do you need? I have a lot of them babies! They are my kind of plant, LOL.
Charlene
I dmailed her too. :) I saw that she hadn't posted in a while. Thanks!
I emailed her and I should hear from her tonight.. I think she said the sweet herb was coming back(cause i want some too)
Charlene,Great! I will take what ever you got. I got a huge Ventricosa I am going to bring ya! all of my Hostas are not up yet, so let me see what else I can. Maybe a "Plug Nickle". ;)
Ceejay as that Classy husband of yours, is there any particular Hosta he is interested in? We Hosta people consider ourselves "Classy". lol
hi City Sylvia, my bulbines made it through last summer's drought with no problem, and Aunt Anne, they made it through this winter's million freezes and they look awesome right now. busting at the seams. :)
City Sylvia, I have always wanted to grow hostas, but didn't think it was possible here in houston. maybe i can take a raincheck on the hostas... looks like i will be carrying home a millions plants already anyway!
heather (ginger girl)
Well, I had gobs of them, but made the mistake of dividing them right before the first freeze.
Everyone that wants to bring anything for Dave and Trish remember that I can deliver it for you so bring it Saturday.
Charlene
Ginger you are right, Houston dont get cold enough to grow hostas, but you got a piece of Helleborus anyway. I say piece because trying to dig it out I broke a piece and it dont have very much root on it. :( I was so upset, I didnt dig anything else. lol
aww. well its still worth a try to plant it. but i think someone else asked for it before me, right? if so, i will take a raincheck on that too. :)
Anyone who has been saving newspaper, the plastic bags that cover your newspaper, or the shopping bags that are plastic, I need them. If you don't have a use for them, please kindly share them with me.
Also, anyone bringing anything that you want me to deliver to Dave and Trish, please put their name on the plant and who it is from, so they will know who to thank. Otherwise, I'll just get all the credit and you won't get the thanks that you so deserve.
Thank you,
Charlene
And don't forget your door prizes. For those who have never attended, we have a drawing where everyone who brings something for the drawing, gets something back. Just a little fun diversion...
Carolyn.. could I have your cell # just in case I pull a Sylvia?..LOL.. Thanks!!
We are gardeners....love to get dirty digging in the dirt.. no bow girl here..lol.. I say Walmart bags need to be recycled, and what better way that to get one full of a gorgeous plant!!
Amen, sister.
I have edited my trade list, and hope I put everyone down that asked for something from me. PLEASE...LMK.. If I forgot anyone!!
My trade list has been edited. Please check to see if I have everything down that you wanted for trade. I just went through the whole "other" thread and found some that I had overlooked. I don't want to leave anyone out.
Thanks, all,
Annette
Ceejay - is it too late to ask for a bit of your bronze fennel? I just now saw you'd added it! I don't want you to "go back" if you're already done with all your digging! But, if you're like me and you're out there tonight? LOL!!
Deb
You're lucky - it's still daylight - sorta. I'll get out there right now. LOL
I just took the rose cuttings for charlene and Im now done.. car is packed, everything is boxed labeled and tagged.. Deviled eggs are made.. coolers and camera are ready to pack in the am and now Im off to a hot bath and then to bed!!! I was up at 4 am today and drove to the woodlands to take my out of town guest to get her rental car.(.Long story as to why we had to go there) and I get to get up early and drive back there again tomorrow!...lol..
drive safe everyone and Ill see you tomorrow!
we're going to a PARTAY!!!!!
My whole truck bed is loaded! DH says we are NOT bringing any of them home! Poor guy fell off a ladder today, and has sore ribs - he couldn't wait until next week, when I won't have to dig plants! He was trying to get our little motor home all cleaned up. The hail storm did some damage to it. Talk about a money pit!
I'm going to be digging up my plants in the morning - EARLY in the morning! In the meantime, I have 2 crockpots waiting for bbq, and veggies to chop. Yayy!
G'night y'all. Sleep tight, drive carefully, and I'll see you in the morning...
