OK I will start off the new thread begging(shush Ceejay)lol
Anyone have any of the Black and Blue Salvia that is so bothersome? I will take it off your hands. :)
Btw, I found some Apple Mint out front, loads of it
.(Sylvia, hostas don't like me, but I am willing to try, again) Annette for Pete's sake you're in zone 8B! you are probably stingy with the water, I am bringing you "Montana"Aureomarginata, in a pot, let it stay in the pot until it gets too big, then switch to a bigger pot.
Charlene I want to do your cuttings now, while I'm getting everything together, where do I began cutting?

Sylvia, I would love some of that apple mint. I have dill or oregano to trade you for it. :)

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I'll see if any of my blue and black salvia has come back, Sylvia. :-)

Dallas, TX

Thanks Marilyn. I just figured out how to add to my list,so every thing will be there. Marilyn, Do I have anything you want. I am still finding stuff. Oh Oh! Obediant Plant!
Its all over the place, you can have as much as you want.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I added 2 Jewel of Opar to my list.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Of course your obedient plant is all over the place, Sylvia. That's what it does. It obeys when you move a flower; just don't try to tell it to stay in one place! LOL
I DO have two black & blue salvias for you. (You really like troublesome plants, don't you?)

I am adding bronze fennel to my trades list. And one white fall aster - I don't know its botanical name. (If anybody can help me with that, please do!)

The mock orange is bursting with bloom. You're gonna be sorry if you pass this one up!

Becky - What do you mean by black-eyed Susan?

Annette, Please, I would like a crossvine.

Wells, TX(Zone 8b)

Id love some apple mint if possible.. thanks

Dallas, TX

why thank you Ceejay, you want some obedient plants? lol
Ceejay are you giving me the Mock orange?
Sandy I will take the jewel of Opel. :)

I hired this young guy to come and help me get every thing in the ground, cause I thought I was through. I look out the window and there is a box on the front porch!
Michigan Bulb got a terrific sale its 8.95 to ship anything! I ordered 12 of those Oriental Poppies. 3/2.99, 2 hibiscus bushes and 4 lavendar, I got to buy 40.00 worth of stuff so I can get 20.00 off! I am only up to 37.73. lol

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Ceejay, mock orange please. What can I add for you?

Sylvia, I think the cuttings you sent already may eventually root as they have leafed out, no roots yet, but I think that with the leaves coming on, they will root.
I don't know for sure, but I think if you take more cuttings you should but below a node and cuttings should be about 8-10 inches long. That is a guess!

Charlene

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Did you want a mock orange, Sylvia? Got you down for one, Charlene.

Dallas, TX

Ok I will do that Charlene, I think some of that maybe Sumac. Charlene did that dead looking wood root? I got some Clemitis vines that do that.

Blkraven I got you down for the Apple mint.

That Apple mint make the best Mojitos!

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Sylvia, I have mojito mint. :-)

I can give a cutting or two to anyone who would like them. Too late to root them now. I don't want to dig them up, cuz I like my mojitos!

New Waverly, TX(Zone 8b)

Got you down for the crossvine, ceejay!

Dallas, TX

Ceejay, I would like to try that Mojito mint! :) I had five or six types of mint even Chocolate. I put them in my neighbors yard, because I did not have the room in the back.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

I'm so glad I'm not your neighbor! My mojito mint is in a planter, and is not allowed near any garden bed. I'd be out there fending you off with a garden rake!

Thanks, Annette!

Sylvia - did you want a mock orange or not?

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Carolyn.. you asking me??.LOL.. all I know is black eyes Susan, but it's a rudbeckia I think.. yellow petals brown center about 24" tall... I think..LOL.. these are new to me, even though they grow wild around here..LOL.. got them from Michigan Bulb last fall (like Sylvia but i got 25 off..lol).. they were tiny but growing some now... since you asked.. I'm putting your name on it!!... btw Thanks for the new thread.... I had to tap my toes for a few before the page would ever load..lol... dial up is all we have out in the sticks here

Pearland, TX

Sylvia, did you get me down for the apple mint?

ceejaytown, can I have some of the mojio mint? I love those!

I have oregano, dill, or a lone squash to trade for it.

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Wow....a lot has transpired since you started the new thread.....thanks for doing so....much better!!!

Willis, TX(Zone 9a)

I have today off from work and am going to start digging and potting. Should I go ahead and pot up some extras or do you think I will just end up bringing the extras home and having to replant? And should I put the plants in pots or just extra containers? What is the protocol please.
Jan

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Protocol, schmotocol - whatever works best for you. Lots of people put smaller plants in styrofoam cups. Some use the black pots. Just try to mark them so when they go to their new home, their new owner will know what they are.

It would be great if you could bring some extras; somehow they always go home with someone. That's how I got my fig tree and the speedwell, a ground cover I love. But if you'd rather not, that's OK too. It does make more work for you.

Gotcha for the mojito mint, sapphirestar. I'll take a dill for the flutterbys, please.

Dallas, TX

LOL Ceejay, I am a good neighbor! I live in a duplex and my neighbor is an invalid so I plant both sides of the yard and she just loves it. Granted, when I discard stuff, I put it in her backyard. lol Yes I want the Mock Orange!
Becky, I just finished my Michigan bulb order. I got about 27 plants and my entire came to 30.85 with the shipping, you want the Link? I am doing it online but you need your key code number to get the discount out the catalog. I wish they had more trees.;) I keep looking at that Blackeyed Susan also 3/5.99 how big is the flower?
Sapphire, I got you down for the Apple mint. I am wondering if I need to pot op the mint or could I dig it friday Morning and keep the roots moist?

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

I know you're a good neighbor, Sylvia. Especially if you take care of the plants, too.

I just have to say this: You are aware of Michigan Bulb's reputation, aren't you?

Adding one mock orange for Sylvia. Can you bring me one hosta that you think might do well here in the humid south? DH has a small collection going. Some are smaller than others. LOL!

Going out now to get the plumeria tree into the ground. Whoo boy, that is one big chore. I'll check back later...

Pearland, TX

Thanks! Ceejay, got you down for the dill. Gonna be some happy flutterbyes this year.

Dallas, TX

Yeah, I am aware of Michigan Rep, I just hope the Poppies come out all right ... even if they are mixed, I will probably get them all the same color. They are supposed to liquidating.
Got you down for a Hosta.

Houston, TX

i am not aware of the michigan bulb reputation... what is it? i just planted a bunch of stuff from them this month, and so far everything is doing great, but all still very young.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Sylvia... I have the new catalog too with the 20 off, and have been wondering..lol.. but I really don't NEED anything else... yeah right... I have over 200 lily bulbs coming shortly, and just planted about 45. The black eyed Susan blooms are about 3", but loaded with them. These are probably like mine and tiny.. in 2x2 pots, but they have grown pretty well over the winter and I am even getting blooms off the cones I got. I like ... because it's a perennial

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Oh on the reputation... MB has tiny plants, but I have never gotten any plant that has the root system those had when I got them last fall. That order sat on a neighbors porch for over a week, and they don't live there...lol.. so after that, and a couple freezes we had, by the time I realized maybe it was there, the plants looked dead. So I called and they said box them up, and they'd sent UPS back out for them, so they sat another 2 weeks, in the dark box. I called again, and the girl said throw them away, and they'd send out new when the planting was right. HO.... I scurried to that box like a rat...lol... and some were coming back from the roots! Uh... I failed to call them that they were alive.. hehehe. I did get a few things this spring, and they were out of the Verbascum, and sent a refund!! So I can't say enough good about MB! Guarantee if for your lifetime!! And from what I see, you just call, you don't have to keep the receipts!

Sealy, TX

Becky - Yes, ma'm, I'll take both kinds! Thank you bunches!

WillisTx - thanks for the lavender scallops - (now I gotta go look it up!LOL)

Deb

Sealy, TX

Great, thanks!

Hmm, I don't think it was there. Or do I not know what I'm looking for? (totally possible! lol!)
