Blue and Green Names

Marlton, NJ

I know I heard the answer to this a while ago but why are some peoples names showing in blue and others green?

I see them all in blue myself but another subscriber asked the question.

Thank You

Happy Easter!

Green shows that you have already been to the forum
and there has been no subsequent responses since
your last visit.

Happy Easter to you & yours Pelle :)

Thank you very much Chris!

Actually the blue/green doesn't have anything to do with new responses or not--all it means when it turns green is that you've visited that link, and if it's blue then you haven't (at least within whatever period of time your browser remembers things for). It's a function of your browser, not DG.

Edited to add--it's the yes or no in the "new" column that tells you whether there's been a new response since the last time you visited a thread/forum or not

That's true of the SUBJECT line in a list of threads within a forum, but not true of a person's NAME, which is what was asked: "why are some peoples NAMES showing in blue and others green?"

A person's name will change color from blue to green if you click on that person's name while in a thread.

Sorry, maybe I should have been more clear--what I said is correct for names as well as threads. People's names are links (to their member page) so they behave just the same as any other link. Any link will be green if you've visited it recently, and blue if you haven't.

They turn red when you run your mouse over them, hover-fashion.

They turn green if you click on them.

They return to blue when you clear your browser's history.

That's purty......a regular kalidescope (?) of colors...thanks Terry.
