Hello. I live in central lower Michigan and love conifers. My unfortunate situation is that our soil is lousy clay. I have fallen in love with Picea abies, Norway Spruce, so my question is whether a small specimen would survive in these conditions. Thank you!
Conifers to love
Sure, many of us have lousy soil. Amend the soil when you plant the tree and it will probably be fine.
