There's more to life than chocolate, but not right now.
Chocoholics Anonymous
I have to quit watching this thread...as I told ya'll Saturday...Tuesday I started a diet...again...I have lost 1 pound....and I didn't do it by pigging out on chocolates...(check with me next week!) Jo
I have this strange craving for De Jong's Chocolate milk. I'm so addicted! LOL! : - )

HMMMMM That was one of the best!! Jo
If you don't eat chocolate someone might assume you would rather eat okra :o)
Bad joke, totally off topic, but it's Marie's fault, 'cause she brought up okra. BTW, good one, Marie!
Q: How do you tell the people who have no friends that garden?
A: They're the ones in the store buying okra and squash!
Laughed my head off when I first heard that one. Hope you got a non chocolate calorie free chuckle.

It just so happens that Iove Okra...FRIED....and I have found some sugar free ice cream that I like too. Jo...2 pounds lighter...but hungry.
Jules that was funny!!!
It is impossible to be angry with someone if they bring you chocolate!!
Jo,
Here is the secret to loosing weight. Eat what you want. Don't eat until you are full. Just till you aren't hungry anymore. Some people drink a glass of water before a meal to give them that full feeling.
I for one am proud of you for loosing two pounds. I know it can be hard from watching my MIL struggle with weight loss most of the time I've known her.
I myself wish I could keep on weight, but between that thing in your brain that tells you that you are hungry (like a switch was turned off in the accident) and my metabolism, I can't seem to keep on weight.
I'm glad you liked my bad joke Marie.
Another interesting fact, you'll like this one, Jo. My YS is adverse to veggies unless they are potatoes, artichokes or brockley, but he'll eat anything if it's been deep fried in batter, including Okra. LOL! : - )
Still off topic.
Nothing starts off a good day like a good cup of hot chocolate! : - )
Okay, safely back on topic!

A photo and a scented orchid. This is my Chocolate Dancing Lady Orchid. She bloomed last year not. The year before she bloomed and all those blasted caterpillars (moth) that invaded the gh ate them before I could enjoy their flowers and the chocolate odor.
This is a macro of a single bloom. This orchid sends out sprays of flowers. Lovely to see and smell! : - )

Jo...minus FOUR pounds!
Good going Jo! Keep up whatever it is that you are doing, but don't forget to drink your water! Too bad they don't have chocolate flavored water. Ooops just gave away a money maker idea! LOL! : - )

Thanks...Jo...off to eat some Sugar Free Jello. GREEN at that!
Chocolate Cheerios..whole grain and may reduce the risk of heart disease...its a win win situation. :)
I wish I liked Cherrios....*sigh* Jo
They are worth a try. Nothing like the plain old cheerios.
Good enuf. Jo
Hang tough, Jo, I'm rooting for you to loose that 10 lbs. Drink your water! Don't forget to eat real food too, just smaller portions! Can't having you passing out from hunger now. Walk around the block! You go girl!
Maybe a small glass of chocolate (lowfat?) milk wouldn't hurt you either. : - )
Nothing special about chocolate today, because that would be torturing Jo.

HMMMM...nice salad for dinner...with water, of course. Jp
There is nothing wrong with me that a little chocolate cannot fix!!
They have chocolate Chex cereal too, but I think of them as dessert.
I have never been an okra fan, but last year in the beginner veggie forum they were raving about fried okra. When I said I thought it was nothing special, they said it is rally the BEST when done using just picked okra. So, I have a couple okra seeds planted. They are supposed to love the heat, so they should love it here.
I have a 20 foot row of okra in my veggie garden. I wonder how it would be deep fried and dipped in chocolate!
Always eat chocolate responsibly and don't unwrap chocolate while driving!
Don't fall asleep while eating chocolate.

Anyone got chocolate cosmos??
I have chocolate scented daisy...
I am in San Diego at the Navy Lodge at NAS North Island....right on the beach...what did I bring with me? My favorite ...Dove's with Caramel!! *sigh* Jo
Hey Jo. Are you coincidently visiting your GD, or are there commemorative activities for 9-11 going on also?
I was attending my DGD, Amys', WEDDING....She was married on the lawn of the Island Club, with a sit down dinner in the Harbor Room....I think I have those correct.
She learned that she made Chief Petty Officer and as a "select" they have to do sooo many things for the month leading up to the induction that she was worn out what with the public service things she had to do, plus the wedding. Her induction is next Friday....her new hubby is a Senior Chief....so this will allow them to "fraternize" now....LOL I'll post a picture when I get my camera downloaded. Jo
Looking forward to those photos - what Forum would you use? Sounds like a wonderful time. I am guessing that the wedding before the induction was a pretty clear indication that 'fraternization' had incurred! No consequences, I guess?
No..Thjey were both on the Nimitz the last cruise...but in different units...so they didn't even see each other ...except when they had shore leave.
Iguess I'll put the photos in the last RU in CA. Jo
No way Jo, you don't get off that easy. Why don't you start a thread of the RoadRunners Travels?
Then you can start with Amy's wedding. Then if you have time you can keep us up to date on where you are and what you been up to. : - )
Please extend my Congrats to the married couple, and to Amy for her promotion. : - )
The Military generally looks the other way, in fraternization cases like Amy's. Same with my Cuz in the Air Force Nat'l Guard. She and her DH are both in the AFNG. He is a pilot, and she is a flight engineer, not the same rank at that time. Cuz was promoted shortly thereafter. They got married in an airplane on March Air Field's Museum. As far as I know they are the only people who ever got married in a plane there. They (the Military) sort of bent the rules so it could happen. They are still married and still active in the AFNG. : - )
Been missing you, Jo! How long will you be in SD? I'm going down to O'side on the 19th. I will be staying about a block from the train station if you want to get into some trouble, (giggle, giggle), and maybe I could round up a couple of our other friends to join us? I know that there has to be chocolate someplace around there. LOL!
LMK. : - )

I D Mailed Randy (DesertPirate) and he responded. His wife has moved back to Arizona and he will be there by the end of the month. Left DG due to economy. Wanted to say hi to everyone.
I came home Saturday...then on 9-23 I am going to TN to visit my son.
Here is a picJoture of Amy, Russ and Russ' pretty 12 YO daughter. She was a Jr. Bride's Maid...very nice young lady...Lives with her Mom in Pensacola, FL.
Edited to say that the picture with them is his Mom...not his daughter...but I really liked her a lot and invited her to come visit me....she lives in OK. >

They are a handsome/lovely couple, Jo. I can't see his Mom, because the copywrite covers her face. I hope she enjoys the visit with you! : - )
Disappointed we didn't have a chance to get together. : - (
That's our roadrunner, always on the go! : - )
Sharon, thanks for the head's up, about Randy. I guess that explains a lot. I hope we can stay in touch with him and Lisa. : - )
I'll try his email. : - )
