New Trading Primer is On Its Way!

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Dave and I drew straws on who should make this announcement, and I won (or lost, depending on how you look at it :)

On a more serious note, I am very pleased to announce the Seed and Plant Trading Primer is ready to use! For those who aren't aware of this effort, here's a bit of background:

Threads with excellent trading tips get started from time to time, usually initiated by a trader's hard-learned lesson. And - like all threads - they are temporary, eventually sliding off the front page of the forum. The same painful lessons are learned over and over again by new traders.

On July 20, I posted a message asking members to contribute their best advice/tips for trading plants and seeds. The response was generous and immediate, with almost 30 DG members taking the time to share their best trading tips and tricks. Their responses have been compiled into a Trading Primer, which you'll be able to access from the Trading forums, your Tradelist and your Trade-tracker, and perhaps a few other places Dave has in mind ;0)

I'd like to recognize the following DG members for their input:
Baa
Badseed
CoCo
dave
daffydill
debi_z
Dicentra
Elena
eltel
evert
gardendragon
jcf
Lilith
luvublooms
mark
Mary
MaVieRose
midwestsnowbird
MzMunchken
mystic
paulgrow
Poojer
Runew

Sis

trailingon

In addition, Kathleen and Deed both worked hard to edit the compiled information, on a tight schedule in the midst of the September 11 tragedy. Their efforts prove that three sets of eyes are indeed better than one!

And last - but certainly not least- I'd like to thank Dave, who took the document and formatted it into an easy-to-use reference tool. (And he did it in record speed, I might add!)

Please join me in thanking all these wonderful DG members for their roles in creating the final product.

Whether you're new or experienced at trading, I encourage you to take a few minutes to read through the primer. I hope you find it helpful and instructional, and may your trades be fun and rewarding!

THANKS EVERYONE,YIPPEEEEE'''''''''Sis'

This is a great piece of work, and everyone involved deserves a huge round of applause.

The primer is located at http://davesgarden.com/trading_primer/

and you will also find the link on top of the 3 trading forums (seed trading, plants trading, and international trading).

Additionally, you'll find the link on the top of your Tradelists and the TradeTracker tools.

Lastly, you'll also find the link inside the "Help" area (check the Menu for the link), inside the section written by myself and Poppysue last year.

Thanks again everyone!

Dave
