Well, before you close it, Burd, I'd like to say how much I've enjoyed this thread from beginning to end. Thank you. All good, with some really nice fight shots. Out of your last photos, I love the Belted Kingfisher. Great shot of the Kildeer.
Wonderful shots Burd!!! I love all of them. The Great Blue Heron with that large fish is so cool! Neat shot of the Canada Goose taking off! Love the Killdeer and Red-tailed Hawk along with the male Eastern Towhee and Fox Sparrow. Congratulations on the new birds!!!
I just love your 2 of the heron with its wings spread......VERY COOL!
My goodness, what a wonderful time you must have had seeing all these wonderful birds. Love the herons with the wingspreads too, but that towhee is beautiful. I consider your best to be the Kingfisher since that's one that I see often, but never have captured a photo to equal yours. Very nice job on all of them.
Thanks for the nice comments all! Duc, if I would have been paying attention I would have gotten shots of the Kingfisher at about 15 feet away. The shot was about 75 feet away...but was still my best shot of a Kingfisher so far.
Every time I go birding I learn more about my camera, I was ignoring my (depth of field) button...hopefully that may get my shots more clearer,we shall see.
Fantastic photos. Loved the heron spreading his wings & the towhee. Liked them all, but especially those.
Great pix, burd!
Thank you all for the nice comment's during this thread. Ive really enjoyed watching this place come alive this Spring. I will be continuing my visits as often as possible.
Will be starting a new thread tomorrow, which includes another new bird...the Northern Harrier
