Just click on the quote under their name to the left! Great feature for me.

Or like this: [ quote]quote goes here[ /quote]

but without spaces next to the brackets.

We have a handy Test Forum if you want to practice: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/test/all/

And that's only to quote something within a thread, not another thread. You meant into another post right Paul?

Yes into another thread

If you only want to do a partial quote, just back the text out that isn't necessary.

You can also add your own message above or below. Just type it in.

Can you do a quote into another forum

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

You'll have to do it like claypa did. Copy the text you wish to quote and put the quote brackets around it. You won't have the little nifty tag in bold saying who said it, so you'll have to let folks know who did.

But that is doing it manually.

How do you do the boxes?

Billerica, MA(Zone 6a)

I just tried this: I quoted a post from this thread, copied the complete quote from my message box, went to another thread and pasted the quote into the message box there. It worked perfectly, at least it did in my preview. It was just a test so I didn't actually send the post through.

Jnette, you have to do it like claypa posted, you only added the beginning and end brackets.

Quoting:

this is a quote of mine from another thread using the method I described above.
