Central Texas San Marcos June 5th Round Up Trades List #1

Austin, TX

Thanks Josephine!

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

The weather forecast for the swap is 100 degrees and sunny.
I am going to bring my swimsuit.

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, yes! Do we have electricity? I could maybe bring an electric fan. And is there any reason we couldn't get there early?

Sheila, still have Chocolate Mint?

I can check if there is electric out there.
We could change it up to 11am-3pm if we had agreement with the guests.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine....I will bring some Lizard Tail for you.

Linda....I do have chocolate mint, will have some for you.

Sealy, TX

Tonya - no problem. (I've been out of pocket recently, sorry it's taken me so long to get back "in")

Linda - if you have anymore mist flower I'd love one.

Thanks
Deb

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

No problem, Deb, I checked the potted plants yesterday, getting some together ready to load up Friday and I do have another one!

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

There will be electric available at the Pavillion. I do not have a box fan though.

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

I believe I'll have room in the back truck for a fan! Hopefully nobody will get lost. Sheila and I have both been to that park in the past, so know how to get to it.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

No I haven't ever been there....LOL! Oh the southern TX Sheila!

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, forgot! Hehe! The Sheila from Selma.

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

Can anyone ID this and want one?
It is about 5-6 feet long and cold and drought tolerant.
It is drooping cause it is raining here. They really are indestructible. The one I dug up has about 12 branches. You can seperate the branches and they all have roots and will become new giant plants in one year or less.

The second picture I think it is Artemesia Powis Castle, and the first one could be related but I don't know it.

Sealy, TX

I hope everyone had a great time and I must apologize for not being there! We had an unexpected visit from our daughter and her new husband to be. We don't see her very often, so I pretty much idn't have a choice but to stay home.

Funny garden art in your noid plant picture Jujube! If I had a pair of legs like that I would have to paint them with some wild looking socks and put shoes on them. LOL!

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

Yes. She has been with us for quite some time. She used to be a lamp like the one in Christmas Story the movie.

Sealy, TX

Well, Lee, you have a point there! I sure wish I could've made it, but I'll make the next one! The gardens are really going crazy this year - it's the first "real" year since we started this huge project that it actually looks something like what I had in mind when i started digging and planting. I LOVE gardening! Glad ya'll had a good time and sure am sorry i missed the food! lol!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Linda....you sent one extra hop tree with me from the SM RU...was that for Kenboy? I can't remember for sure.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila, the Hop tree was for me and now I am not going to get to go to the Arlington RU. Are you going to make the ETRU?

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Not sure, but if not someone from this area will I bet, and I can send it along. It is a one gallon and won't be hard for someone to tuck in their car. If anyone from that area is going to make the Arlington swap I can send it along with them.
I promptly dropped mine as I loaded in my wagon and broke it. But I planted it and it has come back now. I have a wire around it to keep the mower and dogs from wiping it out! LOL!
