And this was from Northstar
Miscellaneous Shots - Part 3
Just beautiful Deb!!
Gorgeous, Deb!
Thanks Celeste and Victor
Have you ever been there in the warm months?
No, but it would be pretty for hiking. We did drive around the entire lake, and saw some pretty views. We stopped at a hiking trail, but I didn't have the right footwear to hike on the icy trails so we didn't.
There was one spot above Emerald Bay that you could see the lake form both sides of the car, but I was nervous with DH looking. Parts of the road didn't have guard rails, and it was steep just off the road.
Sounds great for hiking.
great shots Deb!!!
Beautiful, thanks for sharing!
had a nice day for it Jen
We were hanging out at the radio station there(hubby does the a/c there) and they have food and beer(of course I couldn't have anything but some rye bread and potatoes, it was killing me not to have any corned beef!!!)
Yes, It was beautiful out there.
Looks like fun!
nice shots deb - i've been to tahoe for some hiking - it can be pretty steep and there are lots of bears - was there only for two days camping and ran into them each day. the lake is beautiful
Bears on the slopes?!!!
looking for ski bunnies:)
heehee
Yes I saw a few signs for bear crossing.
Lovely shots!
Very pretty area, Debi...since I don't ski anymore, I'd love to hike in there----with someone to scare the bears! Jen, my heart just broke when I saw the wheaten IW...just like my beloved Nora.
Awww, ever think of getting another?
They don't seem to mind!
No, I think they are enjoying the solitude.
i spotted a couple mallards on the nashua river - still iced over here can't wait to see them go to battle during the mating season
Saw hooded mergansers at the reservoir which is about 1/4 free of ice. Jen, would love to have another IW, but am not strong enough anymore to handle one. Our son was 12 when we got Nora, so I was still in pretty good shape, and yet Nora pulled me down several times when she was young...as she got older she was more sedate. Sort of like me.
lol
maybe he will be a star someday
