I'm hoping I can come. That is a really busy time of year for me but I have been waiting for this area to have a RU so I'm hoping.
Sylvia-SM is south of Austin, and so is the Austin airport that should work out good

Dallas, TX

SOUND GOOD TO ME! :)

Sealy, TX

This will be great! Count me in with either my dh or dd - my son lived in San Marcos so I can visit him too!

The more the merrier!

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

My DH and I are an "if at all possible we will be there."

Will this be a pot luck?

Don't know if we'll have anything to trade, but we'll see what we can scrounge up! :-)

New Braunfels, TX(Zone 8b)

I plan to attend and may bring a friend. Let me know the cost. I have never been to a RU. Fun!
Rebecca

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

I know I've got plants already, because the native plant organization didn't need any plants from members after all for their event.

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

My husband and I plan to attend. Will look forward to it. We have a tiny bit to trade, we think....will see.

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

Should be 5 bucks or less depending on attendance for members only. Guests are free.
Many of my cuttings are taking root so I should have many more plants to add soon.

Dallas, TX

Since I will be flying into Austin, I dont think I will have any trades ... I might be able to box up some bare roots Hostas if anyone is interested. also I might need to bring a friend or two.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I will do up a basic map in the next week and post it. I dont think there is a street sign on the short road you have to take to the pavillion so I think it is best to have one. I will send everyone my cell phone number in case you get lost. I will also check out the BBQ situation to see if it is do-able.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

I have to drop out.My daughter won't be in Austin that w/e. I will get my plants to Josephine or Sheila and pay my portion.
I am sorry I will miss the inaugural San Marcos RU and a chance to meet so many of you. :(

It is almost time!!!

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, bring as many friends as you like! Sorry you can't make the swap, bananna18!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Anna is bringing me her plants to bring to the RU....so her trades are still on!

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Good! Was certain someone would be takin' our plants to Anna..........sorry you won't make it....the next one will be here before we know it

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Dropped off my plants at Sheila's and had a wonderful tour and education on butterflies at all their stages. We did a little mini trading too, although I am sure I got more!
Sorry I won't be in San Marcos. It sounds like such a nice park and I wanted to meet you all in person.

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

I hate to be the next drop out but my sister is ill and I need to fly to Reno, so I will not be attending the inaugural RU.

I could probably get my DH to bring our plants and $5 if you say it's OK.

Let me know and I'll talk with him.

Thanks,
Pam

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

It's still 2 weeks away...there might be enough time.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sorry your sister is ill and we won't get to meet you Pam.

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Hope everything goes well in Reno

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I am so sorry, that I will not be able to attend. My mother's 83 bd is on the 6th and my sister made reservations for her party w/o checking with me. She picked the 5th to do it.

Please d-mail me an address to send my five dollars. I don't want anyone coming up short.

Charlene

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

No worries.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Jujube, if you come up short, I really want to put my $5 in to help out. LMK

Get me next year. If this one goes off well, I will schedule next year at a large nursery down the road with a nice covered deck and a few acres of plants. I was almost tempted to relocate this one to the nursery but oh well.

Nurseries may not like the free swapping on their property. :-))

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, well I think probably the nursery would be able to sell something. Personally, I find it difficult to stop at any place that is right next to a nursery without running in for a "quick" look around the nursery. There was a hardware store I used to avoid sometimes for that reason.

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

I am friends with the owners of the nursery. I know they would be thrilled as they use Daves Garden all the time.

New Braunfels, TX(Zone 8b)

A swap at a nursery sounds awesome! I'm sure this year's swap will be such a success that we will want to do it again next year.

A side note. There is a strong possiblity that I will not have access to the internet next week, so I will probably need to have my pretrades done by this Friday. If anyone wants to speak for anything on my list after that, I can try to reply the following Friday, but no promises.

On that note, would love to see anyone's "have list" that hasn't had a chance to post it yet ; )

Tonya

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Juju...In that case you must try for it next year.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I hate to add to the drop-out list, but I won't be able to go either. I'll be cow sitting a 2-year old who was parlyzed giving birth to her first calf. She needs water and food several times during the day. I didn't know this was possible.

Lee, I too want to contribute my $5.00 to the meet. Please d-mail me your address.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello Lee and Everyone, we have decided that we can come so please count us in

Forstweed + Frank.

Also re we doing door prizes?
And how about food?

Please let me know.
Josephine.

Austin, TX

Alrighty, back up y'all, I'm a semi-newbie with DG as far as forums, etc. I assume a Round Up is just that, a gathering of plant lovers. I'm obligated to a local cactus/succulent sale and have some guys doing some clearing at my place on the 5th. I'm in Austin, so I regret that it's so near. If I get the guys started and such, and can possibly make it, I'll bring a few trades. What are "pre-trades" and how does that work? 5:00 is pretty early with the sun out so long.

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

Pre-trades are on this screen. You list what you have and what you want from other people.

The more the merrier.
