Time to start Volume 288. We came from here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=7562091
Here are two female red-winged blackbirds. They were part of a flock that came around this morning.
And, in case someone may someday need it, here is a link all the way back to the end of Vol 286 (I just noticed we forgot to include the link at the beginning of the last thread): http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1075444/
Daily Pics, Vol 288
Outstanding pics Dave! Love the ones at the end of the other thread too. I love the look the bluebird is giving that Cowbird. Great catch on the Red-winged Blackbirds.
Thanks for starting the new thread!
Oh my...you have done it again Dave...beautiful shots, all of them but I just love that last one with all my heart. She needs to be framed, put on mugs, stationary and all that stuff. She's the best female Mad Bluebird I've ever seen!
She is an adorable ball of fluff!
I like the last one too and the cedar waxwings on the last thread.
Duc, I was so sorry to read about Chipper. That's one of the hardest and yet kindest things that we ever have to do. Maggie is so cute and sounds wonderful. You're lucky to have found each other.
Here's a Pine Warbler and this one is especially for Resin b/c of the pine tree!
Great start to the new thread Dave, outstanding work.
Dellrose - Those Kingfishers are a real challenge. They might be the end of me trying to get the "perfect" capture of one. Good job on the image as well as the others posted.
Reddirt - Those are some bigtime photos. Great to see the gamebirds and the others.
Ducbucln - Very much a sweetheart, those eyes tell all. So great the you found each other.
Elphaba, your bird is new to me. Nice catch.
Elphaba...Love the Pine Warbler in that lovely pine tree. Love the Shrike...haven't seen one for a very long time.
jhowdy...Great shot of the Kingfisher...I will keep on trying to get a good one too!
Lily...That Blue is just the cutest...very nice shot.
GG...Love the TT!!!
Elphaba, That's a beautiful pine tree with the lovely Warbler!
JH, Good one of the Kingfisher!
Elph,Nice one of the Loggerhead Shrike!
Lily, Good one of your Bluebird!
Hi GG, Very nice pics! Love the Titmouse.
Wow...fabulous start Dave...They are all great shots...the opener....the spry of snow with the jay...the little fluff ball is so cute!
Nice Shrike Elphaba!! I have yet to get a good on of that one.
Hey GG!!! Nice to have you back...and nice pics too!
The blue sky sure was purdy the other day behind that Mourning Dove!

Ha Resin! I knew I could get you to tell me what kind of pine that was! Must be Slash b/c it did not look like the Loblolly pines around it. Needles were longer, softer looking, brighter green and its branches were almost rope-like. Here's another pic with two Pine Warblers in it although one is very hard to see, but you can see more of the pine.
I had never seen a shrike until a week or so ago and now I've seen four of them. Isn't it weird how that happens?
Beautiful pics GG. I especially love the titmouse.
Lily_Love that BB is just beautiful.
Nice Mourning Dove Nanny.
Very nice pics nanny!
Mittens will probably go for hundreds, Evidently places were sold out. I bought olympic pins to send the granchildren & bought myself a maple leaf one with a figure skater on top of it. Please don't ask for a photo. as I don't have a digital camera.
Great start to the thread, Dave. Exceptional photography !
jhowdy, nice sharp photo of the Belted Kingfisher.
Elphaba, very colorful Pine Warbler against the green. Congrats on the Loggerhead Shrike.
Granny, I like the Titmouse. Nice pics.
Nice Red-belly and Dove, nanny.
I've taken so many photos over the past few days. I keep looking for that rare visitor that might stop by. We have a male Painted Bunting in Bowie, MD but I probably won't try to catch a view. I did photograph one two years ago closer to my house.
Anyway, the regulars can still provide some colorful images. Here is a male Northern Cardinal, I took this morning.
Oops! Sorry. Thought you were through.
And that Bluebird looks real mad Dave! Love the Titmouse too.
Linth, Beautiful Cardinal, Nuthatch and Downy! I like the Grackles for a photo subject too.
It looks as if the BB is in a perpetual stage of pouting to me. Can't help but love 'em BB. Looks at those swollen buds on the tree branch the BB is on! Spring is here, spring is near!!! But not yet, for the Baltimore Oriole is still down South with us. lol. She was off hunting elsewhere in the morning, but as the sun gets ready to set. She has returned to the feeder. I'll miss her when she's gone.
