Double click on picture not working

Dacula, GA(Zone 7b)

When I want to see a larger image of a picture in a thread, I double click and it comes up bigger. This is not working for me. I get the text, but no picture at all. What's up? If this is a new feature from the new ownership, I sure don't like it.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

I just tried looking at a picture over in the ID forum and it worked fine for me (note that you only need to click once on the picture, not twice). But on the thread that I looked at, there was a note from Melody that they are in the process of switching servers so there may be some issues with pictures for the next couple days. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1075205/

ecrane3, thanks. I went back to the thread and it worked. That's the kind of thing they should announce to the community with a banner or something.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

We are doing some migration of the photos (I think from one server to another). There may be some odd occurrences along the way, although I know they're working hard to avoid any disruptions to the normal site activities. Please let us know if you find anything that isn't working properly.

Marlton, NJ

It's going back and forth for me. Can't see them at all if I double click on them and sometimes don't see any in the thread at small form.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

My guess is it's going to take a day or two to finish the server work, and there will be some "outages" here and there as we go. If something stays gone for any length of time (a few hours), please let us know.

(Zone 1)

I'm glad I found this thread. I've been having trouble in Bird Files. I can view the thumbnail photo's on the first page, but can't get the larger view when clicking on it, and also can't get any photo's to load on the second page, only the photographers names. http://davesgarden.com/guides/birdfiles/go/181/ When I go to the bottom and click on the area that says: There are 17 photo's, click here to view them all, it takes me to the second page but there are no photo's to view, only the name of the photographer.

I shall be patient and wait for all the kinks to be ironed out during the transition of servers. ^_^

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

OK - I though it was just me...

In this thread on the SW Forum, you can see thumbnails for pics early in the thread, but nothing when you click to enlarge. The pics that were posted last night at the bottom of the thread you get the click on thumbnail to view larger deal, but there is no thumbnail to click on... There were thumbnails earlier...

pic seem to be missing on the iris threads & most of NE except for hibiscus & purissima tulips.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Glad to know I'm not the only one having problems. Hope it's fixed soon.

The photos won't enlarge for me anymore in any of the forums I go to. I hope this isn't a bad sign.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I was totally sure I had messed up something on my computer was in complete meltdown mode until pelle posted on the Bird Forum they were doing work on the system here. A warning would have been nice. I might have really screwed something up trying to fix what was't mine to fix.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I am sorry for the confusion and frustration. There are many hundreds of thousands of images on the site, so please bear with us. If things don't seem to be correcting themselves in a timely manner, please do let us know.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

BOTD not working either, no pictures showing at all. :-(

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

I'm getting some pictures but only text for others and my forum display is hinky (seems like the vertical grid lines are missing). Just got a new laptop, so I'll watch here to make sure it's the server move and not something on this side.

Tulsa, OK

Whew! Glad I found this thread I thought something was wrong with my computer or WORSE my membership! I wish though an announcement when you logged in came on - would have saved the fear and frustration.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I am glad to know what the problem is, I am having trouble too, but now I don't have to worry.
Josephine.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Anytime I'm on and having any type of weird issue I always check this forum first. Terry and crew are tops at monitoring this forum and letting us know what's going on...

Marlton, NJ

Same here, it's like the Answer Forum. :-)

Falls Church, VA(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Terry, I'd been having trouble today too - pix I posted last night (and SAW on the thread in Daylilies forum) are not there, but the "click to enlarge image" is visible. No photo box/icon or anything.

Also having the same problem others have reported - I've only checked on Prayer Requests and Mid-Atlantic Forums, but when I click on a photo to enlarge it, all I get is the message - no photo.

Can you give us any idea what a "reasonable time" to wait this out would be, so we don't constantly inundate you guys with messages? Are we talking hours? days?

I agree with those who've said that a note on the opening/front page, advising members of this disruption would have been helpful, and might have saved you guys some typing too! ^_^

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Aww, thanks -we try. (But remember the top of the spinning top is pretty dizzy. Kind of like being on the top deck of a cruise ship in choppy waters...not so fun.)

Falls Church, VA(Zone 7a)

LOL, Terry. Hang on tight, and thanks for all the info!

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I know from talking to Dave last night that this migration work will take a while. My guess is most problems should straighten themselves out within hours. If they don't please let me know. I've pushed a few issues through to him, and also asked him to advise me on what we can expect, so I don't pester him unnecessarily ;o)

Falls Church, VA(Zone 7a)

Thanks again - will check back on the problem places maybe tonight, after dinner.

Sue, can you see it now? It works fine for me. The only problem I'm still seeing is with the thumbnail images in the forums not enlarging. Are there any other anomalies still out there?

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

PF is now operating properly. (at least the ones I checked did)

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

...and Dave just advised that the forum photos should enlarge properly now. if there are any other problems, please continue to report them here, but at this point my fingers and toes are crossed that all known problems have been taken care of.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not in NE.

Marlton, NJ

They seem to be coming back okay in the Bird Watching forum.

somewhere, PA

Pictures stopped working a few hours ago in the Pets Forum.
I just tried in the Test Forum and it doesn't work there. The
thread shows "Thumbnail..." in words but not as a pic. And
nothing expands.

Tam

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Appears to be working in the SW Forum now...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

NE working now.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

It's working again here... if you're trying on a page you loaded earlier, be sure to "refresh" first (I thought it wasn't working on one thread, until I did that).

Tammy, the Pets and Test forums both worked fine for me just now - I opened a thread, clicked on an image and it enlarged without any problems. Anyone else having problems with those forums, or any others?

somewhere, PA

Yes - working now. Thanks
Tam

I'm still having problems in the California forum. Some photos work, some don't.

Marlton, NJ

Hi KaperC, You can report them here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1075261/

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Thanks, they're showing now!

Kingsport, TN(Zone 6b)

I have been using the container gardening and the garden art forums in the last few days and they both seem extremely slow to me picture-wise.

Susan

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Dave indicated there are well over 1 million photos in the forums that are being migrated - there are probably going to be some slowdowns while that transition takes place ;o)
