Journals and Diaries

Bark River, MI

Just wondering (as I imagine others are) if the plan is to keep these features -- I've finally just started making use of mine and would really hate to see them be taken away. (sorry if this has been addressed recently and I've missed it)

Hi Sandy,

I don't think there's any plans to change or remove them ;o)

Thanks Terry, that's good news to me.

I am sick to my stomach with the latest news. What I did on this site -for this site was for the garden that Dave built, period.

I would like to know that I can download all my photos, comments, diaries and email because this is NOT the site I joined and paid good money for, and NOT a site where I now belong anymore. Dave kept us safe--already these new people haven't a clue and I will not wait for more bad news or to have my photos ripped off .

I want to know that once I have all my contributions back that they leave with me--I don't want my name associated with strangers.

I better not say anymore at present, I cannot believe y'all have a heart if you take the heart out of DG.

violabird, I hope you'll hold on and see how things turn out. You might be pleasantly surprised to find that everything still works the way it always has.

This Garden is still my Garden and I intent to renew, not worry about my pics and contributions, be part of the solution, optimistic and continue to commune with my friends. It's BAU as far as I'm concerned... until someone proves me wrong. How could I leave my friends?

No need to choose one over the other. I want to do both.

I agree Susie. This is still the place I will come until they run me off - lol.

Yeah, me too! They are 2 different things.

I totally agree with A, L and J above -- yes, it seems very sad to us that this is no longer "our Dave's" garden, but as long as they leave Plantfiles in particular in place this is such a valuable resource. I'm kind of wondering about the Garden Watchdog, Dave had mentioned that some of the companies with bad reviews had been a bit threatening and that was one of the things that prompted the sale to NM, and who knows right now if IB wants to contend with that, but hopefully we will continue to have that resource as well.

Hey, Dave is alive and well with a new and very big project, and hopefully DG will stay alive and well for all of us, too.

I was very upset about all of this at first too. So I really do understand your feelings violabird.
Bottom line is I don't want to leave, so I'm staying and hoping for the best. I'll just have 2 sites I visit everyday now. At this time, I'm very hopeful for the future of Dave's Garden. And I'm very comforted that Terry and Melody are still a part of the Administration here.
