Awful Bird Pics Volume 12

:) How about this one of the Carolina chickadee? I'll be away from my pc for a week, but will still be watching our forum every chances I get. Please keep your fun pics. coming.

The pileated shot is no worse than any I have taken; those birds are just not very cooperative!
Here's a picture taken a few days ago through two layers of glass and a layer of plastic temporary glazing to help insulate my back porch. I think the bird is a female house finch, but just wanted a picture of it to be sure.

gee, your three layers are better than my one.
Going by the male HF right there, I'd agree with you.

Cool! The Nuthatch with something on its beak. And yes, they travel in pair. Spring is almost here. lol.

I think it had a peanut in its beak.

Pileated Woodpecker, 75 yards away spotted a few days ago from our back deck when we still had snow. Funny how I grabbed my camera and forget my shoes.

I have so many bad shots. Which should I post? How about this one from this morning. A male and female House Finch. Can't get a good pic of a house finch to save my life!

I guess these are not really awful...but I sure was frustarted at missed shots of the Pileated!

Well I this could have been a really cute shot....this was with the Fuji. A little out of practice with it!

I was out looking for Blue Birds today...I could here them calling. I found this one right across from the driveway. The best of about 20 bad shots. I got only ONE good shot of this bird to post on the Daily Pics thread. LOL

nanny isn't that sooo annoying when your so close and should have lots of great shots and you end up with one good shot out of the bunch!!

Okay, i'm just getting so frustrated with my photography skills in the field. I took out the big lens today for a short while and there were NO water birds at the slough. WHAT is up with that? Then, I can't get it focused in time to take pix of birds in the fields before they fly off. But the kicker was when I pulled in the driveway, two vultures flew over, followed by a bunch of gulls. Do you think I got a shot, good or bad? no. no no no~

I know how you feel though....I have been to the lake several time and all I found one day were 5 geese and a couple of gulls flying.
