Those are great 'bad Shots' Nan. I can almost visualize the snow flakes coming down on the scene.

Marlton, NJ

Good awful ones! Nanny, Are you still getting snow?

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Very fun bad pics everyone.
Nanny, I like the blue jay in the air. Looks like he's coming out of a star gate.
Snake, wow on the eagles!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Thankfully we were spared more snow...we have had rain the last 2 days.....so my yard no longer looks like this which I took on friday. In the middle was still about 6'' deep. I make a square trail going around from the deck to where I have the feeders and back.Plus it gives our little dog a path to follow!

Help! My son caught this 'huge' bird in the tree and I wasn't home. I expect a hawk but he thinks owl and it seems to have an owl face, but with this awful pic its a tough call for us amateurs. What do you pros think?

I'd say probably a Red-shouldered Hawk. But (as is fitting for a post on this thread ;-) the pic isn't good enough to tell for 100% certain.

Yeah! there's an unfortunate branch across its face. Of course.
When you zoom in you can persuade yourself it looks like an owl face but I really doubt that too. And the breast color seems to fit the hawk. I've had them here before

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

I sure am glad everyone gets this kind of photo once in a while. I'm sure no exception!

This Brewers Blackbird picked the time that I clicked my camera to shake the rain off.

LL are you feeding your birds Chile peppers? ;-)

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

tehehehehe, Mrs_Ed, I can't seem to get enough chilies for myself. Only hope the idea will entice the little birds to come and nest. lol. Here a goldfinch tries to befriend the Mr. Housefinch. lol.

Thanks pelletory.

Ok, how about this one, I was trying to get the Coopers hawk and didn't see the bird in the feeder cage, I don't think the hawk did either he just took off.

Sure why not; you can tell it's a hawk and some kind of sparrow.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Wow, was that hawk having a little sip of water? I'm wondering if they'll ever come to my pond and bath or sip.

Yah, that Kestrel is amazing. closer than I"ve eve gotten

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Cool Kestrel, I didn't know they're that colorful!

Logan Lake, BC(Zone 3a)

Thanks all for your comments.

Yes Mrs_Ed the Cooper's and Sharp-shinned quite often come to sip a little water, but so far I haven't seen the Kestrel on the bath. I see him hovering around so close to my house and I just can't get a good shot of him. Maybe this year;-)

This is the before shot of the hawk
