Synda, hope the doctor found what's causing you to swell.

Julie... try to get some rest please. An unrestful body plays havoc to your mind... not good for creativity.

oh yeah.. a piece of news.
Apparently Phyllis is again right. This virus IS making its' way around.
Our neighbour and her grandson are infected too!
So you all be careful whom you're touching out there!!

I'm off to bed, again. :D

Good night everyone..

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. Rest well.

Good night everyone.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Went to the Dr and he has NO idea what is making me swell, but he could see it....changed a couple of my pills.....He said I stump him.But been to others that have said the same thing, specialist ! So what don't kill us makes us stronger,right....LOL.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Now which darling little kitty is that Jaye?? Such a sweetie. Glad you are feeling better.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone. coffee is on, and we have oatmeal with raisins, and hot buttered toast.
Hope you all got a good nights sleeep, and are waking up refreshed, and ready for another BLESSED day!

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Mom is recovering fast from her surgery and said to tell you all thank you for her continued prayers for a fast recovery..

Synda so sorry to hear ou are having trouble with swelling.. Hopefully the doctor will figure something out soon..

Morning Ladies,
Yes Jaye, actually Sadie is now with Buddy and Bucky both. I lost Buddy on Feb 22, 2008, then I had to have Bucky put to sleep on Nov 1, 2008 (he had the mass cell tumors)

I talked with Judy on the phone last night ^_^. Judy it was so awesome to talk with you. I was surprised at how well I could hear and understand everything she said. As most of you know I am 85% deaf and wear hearing aids. I have to read lips, but I was able to talk with Judy and it was wonderful. When I talked with Deborah, I had a hard time understanding her because of her southern accent.

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Good Morning All my Sistah I have missed you all
I am back from the greatest trip I have had The temp was 70 to 80 rianed lite for 2 hours the last day there it was 85 and sunny.
The first day I got there it was about 11 at nite and I went to my room I was cold cause they had the ceiling fan and the air on I went to shut everything off got out of bed and the ceiling fan blade fell off and just missed my head someone was on my shoulder to save me.Then the last day told as the plane was late and that we should be at the airport by 8 pm we got there and sat until midnight got on the plane and told us the reason that it was late is the windsheild needed to be repaired and took 2 hours so we got back to the states about 3 by the time I got home was 5 am so I was tired and have been going to Doctors all this week so far
Yesterday I went to the hearing Doctor and they told we with the work I do and the Noise I am lossing my hearing and I need hearing aid so they have giving me temp one to try for 2 weeks this is hard and the price of them is outrageous
2400 for 1 and my insurace only pay's 1500 evey3 years you think with this kind of work it wood be higher than 1500
Well today I had to do a breathing test. tomarrow bone density and bold, Thursday Mammogram Friday Flagger school and Sunday Doggie school than I will be good to go.
I have to take my sister back to Wisconsin today and what is it doing snowing oh well

Good morning ladies!
Yum, my tummy's ready for oatmeal and raisins, think I'll add some chopped pecans to it. Thanks LK.

I'm ready to conquer the world---errr---sewing machine--today! It's raining and I can't do much outside while Kel gave me another morning off.

Hey Neener... Neener :D That's Silver, another of our rescues who loves to jump in fresh laundry!!
And thank you for some comic relief!!

Synda, if you've exasperated your local specialist, perhaps you could be referred to another? Google and see what types of food allergy can cause that swelling. Or you've already done so..

Put on a mask Donna.. that will protect you and if customers ask, just say it's out of consideration for your kids.
Nope don't understand why there are still some that don't use their commonsense. But that's what you get when working with the public.
Kel's exposed to that everyday, and that's one virus that brought him down.

She's one fascinating lady, that Judy. I'm glad you had a chance to talk to her, Cindy. When Judy and I start gabbing on the phone, it's hard to get in any lucid words, cause we'll both be laughing so hard and forgot what we're supposed to say!!

Welcome home Kim. Awww.. sorry to read you have to wear hearing aid. Your company should have provided you with those ear protectors like the ones working with airplane traffic. They also should be responsible to give you annual hearing tests.
I don't think Susan will not be tempted to pick up a paint brush and help you! You know how she is ....
Hello Rosy. She's so cute, Kim. I have a calico but she's wild and live under the shed!!
Yep, show pictures please.

Pegi, are you still enjoying your unusual cold weather :D

I'm starting to 'smell' having broke a fever......... so I better take a shower.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I musta missed something.......... me & a paint brush? I love to paint my house, inside and out, but maybe you're talking about another Susan? I'm lost...............

♪~§usan~♪

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

ROFL!!!!
We have another Susan, and that's TurtleChi!!!! But you can come visit me for a paint party!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Punxsutawney Phil predicts 6 more weeks of winter :((

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Yes Jaye, we are going to have 6 more weeks of that nasty cold weather according to that crazy groundhog. Going to rain next week, so the weatherman says, and then maybe my bad weather stories won't be so funny after all. My sweet peas are growing taller, but the winds did some damage to some. They don't want to grab hold of the string I put up for them.

The doctors finally decided to do a MRI on DH shoulder. I don't know why they didn't do that months ago when he complained about it. As soon as that is scheduled and he sees the doctor again we will know what they plan on doing. Has to be his right shoulder too. Now I'll hear more excuses why he can't do anything. Need to fix that arm so he can go fishing.

Sorry to hear so many are sick, etc. Prayers for all.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Here everyone is--lost this thread for a moment.

Jaye, glad you are feeling better. I so agree, Judy is one neat lady and oh so funny!!! Can't wait until June so I can see everyone again at Cookies. BTW, where is she hiding today? Kathy is with the "hogs" so I know where and what she is doing. She has to explain.

Well once again we are having "liquid" sunshine today--again on Thursday and Friday so they say. Pontoons any one?

Need to get back to my chore list, will check in later.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Jaye, thanks for adding Dave to the prayer list, he needs all he can get so I don't kill him LOL!!!

Flaming Kim! Great to see you!!! I'm so sorry about your hearing and appointments and all. Insurance is almost a joke, for as much as we pay in monthly then co-pays I wonder if it's worth it. I guess it depends upon how much you go. My dentist told me that dental insurance would cost more in monthly payments than it would for my once every 6 months cleanings, and Dave doesn't have teeth, he has rocks, so no need to worry about him.

Cindy I am so glad you got to talk to Judy! She is such a gem!!

Pegi my DH Dave is having big time issues we have been dealing with. He's short, snappy, and does what he can to prove me wrong in every conversation no matter what it's about when he talks to me, didn't call in on his weekly unemployment and now has to go refile and blamed the whole thing on me, that he was waiting for me to do it and I'm not going to do it, and I've noticed he's not flossing his teeth, and he has always flossed after every meal his whole life. Last night he was a bit more cheery, but it's weird. This is a man who used to take care of all the bills, clean everything, cook all the meals, and now he's stuck in some sort of rut and I don't know what to do to get him out of it. I know he always gets down in the dumps in the winter but this is way more than normal.

LOL Liquid Sunshine! Love it!

Yay! It's lunchtime finally!

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Crissy, sounds like he's a little depressed. It sneaks up on you!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Absolutely right, Audrey.
Crissy, Dave was used to having a routine when he's working. Now he got to set himself up with a new one.

Dellroy, OH(Zone 6b)

Well ladies....I have a funny thought you might find amusing....... That old groundhog says 6 weeks more of winter....
ok let's do the math.... 6 weeks x 7 days = 42 days From today to March 20th (first day of spring) is 46 days....so that dang old groundhog shortened our winter for us!!! YIPPPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Ok....but I was trying to cheer you all up!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Ah, thanks for the reminder! 42 days until the festival and all this hard work will be done for another year. Yeap, we time it for the first of Spring--well here in Florida anyway.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye so glad you are feeling better!
Marion, please don't float away...

We actually have some thin sunshine today....staying in the mid forties. January had record warm temps for us and it looks like February is going to be more of the same....our plants are so confused. We have things starting to come up that really should not come up yet....if this continues the Tulip Festival will have no Tulips because they will all have bloomed too early!

At least the Chickadee's are loving the weather...the feeder and bath are full of little birds right now. They are such pretty little things.

Got all of the Afghan squares ready to go, now I just have to get up the nerve to attempt to put them all together...

Need to get some things done around here...will check in later.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone. The other day, I sent a dmail to Cathy/catspower, to wish her a Happy Birthday. This is the reply I got from her. Such sad news, and she will be missed, when she no longer post here on DG! Most of you knew of her.

Thank you for the birthday greeting. I am selling my house and moving into a motorhome I just bought, so will be leaving Dave's Garden. My husband passed away Dec 27th and there is no reason for me to stay in Arkansas.
Cathy

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

I cant believe I made it back today.. ~

Left work alittle early and figured I would pop in..

Ol Phil may say 6 more weeks but Buckeye Chuck did NOT see his shadow so Im following him! I checked on my flower bed ot front on the way in the door and would you believe I have lil daffodils poking thier lil heads up.. Whoo hooo spring is on the way for sure!

Jaye I took a can of lysol with me today.. lol Told the boss if someone else came in sick I was gonna spray them and the area down.. He thought it was funny until I threatened a customer who started coughing.. I think the mask would deter customers and right now I cant aford to lose anyone on a chance they think something else is happening..

Kim wow its good to see you posting.. Looks like your schedule is as hectic as mine.. Very glad to hear your angel was on your shoulder.. That blade could have really hurt you.. Insurance is a joke in my opinion.. Mom is paying through the nose for her surgery and she pays like 400 a month for ins..

Well gotta go get girly from school shortly.. BBL
Huggs to all
Donna

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

So sad, LK.
We can send her our condolences through d-mail or the old fashion way.
She will certainly miss her DH.

Don't do anything that will chase customers away Donna!! Forget I said that!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hmmmm... prettttttttyyyy quiet tonight...

Got to bring two kitties to 2 different vets. Dallas is going for a 'snip-snip' and Rimau is returning for his thyroid check.
One vet is very reasonable for neutering, while the other is satisfying Kel's attraction to lates gizmos that this vet has... just hope he's a good vet :(

Good night all. See you tomorrow.

Dellroy, OH(Zone 6b)

Have a safe trip to the vet tomorrow Jaye. I really need to find a reasonable vet here that isn't so dang expensive.

Synda....Rick isn't taking penicillin again is he? or something like it? That swelling isn't good.

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Ok Lets all cheer up about the weather it will get over sooner than we no as I seam to think that the older I get the faster the time

Morning Kim, thanks for the pictures. Glad to hear you had a great time, but wow, that fan blade could have been really bad! That was a close call for sure!
Love the shells in the tree, better than a bottle tree I think!

Coffee is on, and how about english muffins this morning? There is butter, or flavored cream cheese, or jam of your choice!

Jaye sounds like your feeling better? Sounds like you will be busy with the kitties today. Don't over do it!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That's sad news, does she have family somewhere else? Where is she from?

Jaye I'm so glad you're feeling better! LK's right though, don't overdo it and have it relapse back into a cold or something worse.

Kim those are awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing those!!

Well I'm going to get to work, got to pack up a bunch of files and find somewhere to put them. UG

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Crissy. Moving files today? From the office? Doesn't sound like fun.
Hey Donna, sorry to hear your feeling bad, some people don't care if they are sick or not! But you need to be careful, and not spread your germs too!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

From the filing cabinets to big boxes for the storage room across the hall, then from the binders into the filing cabinets. But because no one likes to take inventory around here I'm out of supplies, so I guess I won't be moving anything :-p What a bummer!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

great pix. kim. glad youre back, we missed you.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Here I am....I'm not losted.....

Glad you're feeling better, Jaye....keep up the good work. Hope you're feeling better, too, Donna.

Thanks for the warm pictures, Kim, I needed that!

I gave in and called the company that I interviewed with almost two weeks ago (tomorrow-two weeks) and they said they were going to make their decision today, so at least I wasn't heartbroken for the moment. Keep on praying, guys!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We will be praying they call you for the job!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

still got me boobies crossed sissy! you'll get the job
