It was 18f plus 15-25mph winds, even with hand warmers it was almost intolerable, except if your an Eagle.

Re-kindled this thread from last year, will be adding more shots later...some improvement compared to last year. lol

had the Tamron 1.4 converter attached so some of these I didn't nail the focus on.

Thx Pelle, that behavior was going on yesterday also but they were too far off for decent shots. Maybe today I'll catch some more of that.

Nice shots, Burd. Glad to see that they are out in full force in your area. I haven't been back to my favorite area since 12/4. In fact, I haven't taken a photo since then. Another 3-4 weeks and some of our eagles will be on eggs.

eye closed on this shot...

lots of juveniles...but many adults also...counted 22 Eagle's today...that's just what I seen though.

from 200 yards away...he spots a little shad on the ice...the geese went nuts...lol

failed miserably on this shot and others like it...they were about 125 yards away but.I should having adjusted the camera...the water pulled focus away.

don't know when I'll get back...maybe later in the week...here's a couple of shots of other wildlife.

as long as there is open water a Great Blue Heron will stay the winter up here...eating mice and moles along with fish.

Even this Muskrat came out today and chowed on a dead shad.
