So how are the oysters?
I'm not the one to ask! Cousteau called them the garbage collectors of the ocean. Yuck.
Really nice shots Victor! I saw that Ellis Island documentary. Very interesting!
my mom took us to Ellis Island on accident .. took the wrong boat to the statue of liberty
That is the most hysterical pic.

I'm thinking he won't think it's so cute that you posted that here when he's say..about 16!
It is cute though!! lol Looks like it was an "eye shot'.
True!
Saw on the news (probably done now) an auction in NYC. Something Green - on the green? A famous restaurant - Well anyways its going out of business and I would go to the auction to see all the antiques going off. I saw wicked beautiful lamps/chandeliers/lighting/ I would go just to take pictures.
Tavern on the Green?
Would love to have something from there, I'm sure my one friend would too, she had her sweet 16 party there.
No - it's in Central Park.
I think I read somewhere that the auction started Jan. 13th & 14th, it all over and yes it's Tavern on The green.
Very sad
History
Central Park's Tavern on the Green was built in 1870 and was designed to hold sheep. The sheep in Central Park were then moved elsewhere and the structure became a restaurant in 1934.http://www.tavernonthegreen.com/history.asp?headinfo=abouttavern&subhead=history7 It was bought by the LeRoy family in the mid-1970s. The owners were forced to file for bankruptcy in September 2009. The restaurant will be in operation until December 31, 2009. The new owner, Dean Poll, plans to install new kitchens and renovate the restaurant.
