Thanks Hack....maybe I need to get that????

Bella Vista, AR(Zone 6b)

A quick comment: I have surprised myself with how fun, and dare I say thrilling, it is to watch, identify, and capture a picture of a bird up close. I don't have a great camera, and I am still learning, but I am becoming a bird nerd. haha
I think this site has helped me more than any book. Thanks all.

CC, great variety of birds! I'm jealous that you and Burd get to see those cute chickadees.
Burd, more great photos. Love that robin and the coloring in the photo. Beautiful cardinal too!
Julie, great photo of the cardinal and sparrow. I don't mind being called a Bird Nerd and I don't think anyone else on this board does either. Welcome to the group!

Had to have this Hermit Thrush identified. It looked so different from the one photo I had from last year. So grateful Daves Garden has people that can assist us all on the Bird Identification board.

Dirt, wonderful photos. I'm sorry I didn't scroll down far enough to see your beauties! Great job!

This Ruby crowned Kinglet was having a heck of a time holding on and eating at the same time. I'm assuming it's a young bird.

This Mockingbird was sure enjoying the red berries on our Nandina (Heavenly Bamboo) bushes. This is the first year any of the birds has even wanted some of these berries.

The bird kept jumping down to the back of the shrub so I couldn't get a shot of them together.

Nice shots Duc! I only have 2 Chickadee's, I'd trade both for a Spotted Towhee, and a Mockingbird! lol

Julie, I bet most of us never dreamed we would become Bird Nerds! I know I sure didn't!

Great owl Dirt. I got a glimpse of one the other night while I was out walking the dog.

Burd, you have a deal!
Nanny, great shots of that feeder. I hope you're inside taking those photos since I'm still seeing the snow there. It sure doesn't look like it bothers the birds.

Oh yes pics taken thru the window we have had single digit windchill today. But it is nice and sunny. That makes 2 days in a row!!
