Showdown coming there.
Garden Projects - 2010
dahlianut. I missed the red mitten sell out. The German/Canada game is just starting. New Goalie is in the net for Canada. Great Ice Dancing last night. Patti
That's right blame the goalie. The TV keeps saying that they should be able to handle Germany. After all both US & Canada teams are the pros.
Yes, poor Brodeur is now the goat. The rest of the team stunk!
I'm having trouble keeping up with the threads and watching the women's figure skating right now.... not as good at multi-tasking as I once was.
Oh, thanks for the heads up, Louise---the TV is downstairs, this computer is upstairs---I'm outta here.
They're not on now.
They'll be back on again tonight. They're moving around to various events....ski cross is on at the moment.....stay tuned, Marilyn!
they will be over by the time I watch them all on the dvr
I'll be watching the figure skating too. No medals today so far!
I want the knit hat that Vonn was wearing.
I want to be whatever she is wearing.
Oh, Victor.
Welcome back, D'nut! Missed you! Stay warm!
Short program tonight. All the women seem less experienced than in former yrs. Changing of the guard, I guess.
leeks are now up as are most of the flowers - still waiting on peppers and basil, the heating pad they were on had an auto shut-off so moved them to one that stays one which should do the job.
I planted petunias & pansies---on the furnace for bottom heat---workers are supposed to replace our furnace tomorrow, but if this weather continues, they will not!
I don't have a heating mat... maybe I'll get one one of these days.
I'm so excited for you guys who are having the fun beginnings of the next garden season!!! Leeks, pansies, petunias, peppers, basil........I know how great it is to be up there just waiting and then the little sprouts come and it is so exciting!
Speaking of flowers....I couldn't get the perfect light so you could see the purple centers of the white osteospermum against the purple and white bougainvilleas, but I think this is still a pretty shot of one of the gardens in the puppy yard.
Nice!
Very nice, Louise.
Thanks, Victor and Jen!! ^_^
Just beautiful my Bougie has a few blooms but not many. Tell me about the
new variegated "Pixie" dwarf bougainvillea, please ;+} Holly
yes I am interested in the dwarf Pixie too!!!!
yes it's still alive but doesn't look very red... and didn't get any bigger... but still going .. hope it lasts!!!
all the photos are lovely Louise.. making me jealous!!!
Holly - I found it at our native nursery here. Isn't it cute? I really like the variegated foliage (lime and yellow) against the magenta blooms. I think it gets to be about 12 inches high and about 3 feet wide. They had a mature one that was about that size. He said it blooms constantly. They also have a gorgeous new thornless variety in a very bright reddish rose color. I bought Hank a Ortanique Orange tree. His tangelo and our first orange tree are both ailing, and this one is a very sweet cross between a Valencia orange and a tangerine. It's new to me! I'm afraid I don't know much more about Pixie.
Hi Allison. I hope your Red Ti makes it. It likes some sun. This summer you may be able to get it to put on some growth and color up if it gets a mix of sun and some shade in the afternoon.
yeah me too.. I will be so excited if it does... going to have to look that Pixie up.. anyone overwinter Bougies?
Beautiful Louise!!!!!!!!
I think they would do fine in a sunny window. My friend has some in her greenhouse and they bloom constantly, even in the cold temps in the winter. She lives in upstate NY.
Ah, another beautiful Pixie!!! LOL Thanks, Celeste!
DonniieB LUV the combo in the puppy yard!
Pretty, Louise!
very nice louise - that orange tree sounds interesting!
Pretty pretty pretty. Makes me warm just looking at Donniebrook's photo's. Thanks, foggy dank day. But we have major plants beginning to poke forth. Hurray. Patti
snow off the one bed with snowdrops. Only 2 this yr.
That's the leaf I drew! Wow, usually plants from Logee's come so small. You have lemons already! That's great!
