Two more that never appealed to me are Sarah Jessica Parker and Madonna (big time). Hate to use this word, but I think it was invented for Madonna - skank!
That's Entertainment!! Part 2
lol You don't know what skank is till you've met my former neighbors
LOL Jen! Did anyone ever notice that Julia Roberts looks JUST like her brother! I think her smile saves her.
No it doesn't! In fact, her mouth is too big. ^_^

Years ago everyone told me I looked like her but my mouth is not that big.(or is it???were they trying to tell me something?)
Ugh - no. You're much cuter, Jen.
*blushing* why thank you.
^_^
Just finished watching Harry Potter - Half Blood Prince. Did not see it in the theater. I liked it, though not as much as some of the others. The beginning was kind of disjointed. I never read the books so I don't know how it compares. Dave??
It did sound good on all 7.1 speakers!
I could see where that would have been harder to follow without having read the book. Basically, all the books are better. As the series goes on, the books get longer. So they are trying to fit 900 pages into a movie.
That said, I think they did a pretty good job with that book. The worst movie from book was the first one. I think the 3rd( Prisoner of Azkaban) may be the best (IMHO)
That happens to be our (wife and I) favorite movie.
I agree with Victor, Jen. You're much better looking!
Watched a movie yesterday that I enjoy every time I see it. Sense and Sensibilities
Never saw it, but heard good things about it.
I liked Sense & Sensibilities a whole lot.
Me too!
OK !OK! Now your into my territory.
I like the latest issue of Sense nd Sensabilities. The one done by the BBC.
Not Kate Winslet et al
Jane Austen is my fave.Cant beat Pride and Prejudice for anything.
Awww, thanks Weeze!
I didn't see the BBC production, but I thought Emma Thompson nailed that role. Kate did a great job as a woman living a life of quiet desperation in Revolutionary Road.
I rented the BBC versin and found it better.Hugh Grant is over rated as a romantic.
Jane Austen would have been a millionaire in this century.
Her estate must be doing well with the increasing interest in her movels.
I liked all versions of Pride andP.
I like Emma Thompson.
Me too.Remains of the Day was her best that I can remember.
Professor Trelawney!
Not to change the subject, but this came today ,I found it entertaining.

Yes - that made the rounds a while ago. I think someone posted a link too.
Thought I remembered it.
On tomorrow's episode, Bear Grylls does the urban jungle. Looks cool.
I rent a lot of Netflix.
Yesterday I watched docu about Phillip Glass. I have liked his music since the 70's.He has had quite a career. Contemporary cpmposer, wrote the music for "The Hours" google him for a sample.
Its either really simple or terribly complicated.Intellectuals over analyse it. I like to have it playing when I paint.
He did a great score for a film I saw years ago - Koyaanisqatsi.
Thats a great film, Victor! Liked it a lot.
You can hear that one on Google.
He isnt for everyone and I sure dont play him often but went to a live performance of his music played for A modern dance group. The ones that did Lion King
Yes, very cool movie, Joyce.
he final two Harry Potter films (the last book) will be in 3D.
Watching Force 10 from Navarone.I love the bridge collapse scene.
Listening to XM while I cook and one of my all-time faves just played - Paradise by the Dashboard Lights. Great song. Too bad I'm not cooking meatloaf. ^_^
I like that too
And just heard Shaft. Love 70's music.
We were listening to xm over the weekend and kept it on the 60's quite a bit but did get a lot of repeats. I got 3 months free with my new car, considering continuing on but not sure yet.
Really? I don't notice too many repeats. I listen to 70's mostly. 60's and 80's sometimes. Also 40's quite a bit.
I love big band. When my XM subsription ran out i switched to 88.7. They play big band 50s', 60's 70's and 80's. The other day while driving, they played the theme from the Lone Ranger, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Chubby Checker and Ella Fitzgerald. It's a quirky mix.
