Is there a new layer of security?

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

Had trouble getting on from another computer , and from my phone, when neither of these used to be an issue. security settings on the PC and the phone have not changed. At login, I'm getting "cookie" errors.

Any ideas?

TIA,
Jennifer

I'm not having any trouble here so I don't think there's anything new here, but I have noticed a couple times this morning and last night the site was running a bit slow and wasn't able to load the page a few times. Maybe if you were trying to log in during those slow times that's why you were having trouble.

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

It's not slow to load.

The page refuses to load, stating I can't login "because of bad security settings." I have no idea what's up - phone used to work, now it doesn't. And I haven't changed a thing on my phone...

I just tried logging on from my phone and it worked fine, so it's got to be something on your end--maybe not a problem with your phone itself, but a temporary issue with your phone provider's network or something like that.

Alrighty, then... guess I'm out on my own to figure it out. Still getting the same "A problem with your browser" DG page at login from my phone.

I'm sure someone else will have some other ideas for you--if it were your computer I'd tell you to reboot, but I'm not sure if turning the phone off and then back on again would have a similar effect. Probably worth trying though, it definitely won't hurt anything. You might also try posting on the computer forum, even though it's a phone not a computer someone over there may have some ideas. Or try calling your cell phone provider and see if they can help you.

I've already turned the phone off
And checked the security settings
And looked at their self help section on the cell companies' website

This has been going on for, oh, about a week now... So not new, either.

I'd post on the computer forum then, I bet someone there would have some ideas for you.

I had the same thing happen on my desktop machine last week when I tried to log in. I just left the desktop and went and found my laptop and had no problems. I haven't tried logging in on the desktop again but will do so now and see what happens.

Well, it seems okay now, lets me log in with no errors/no messages. I don't remember exactly what the message was that I got last week but it did say something about security settings and "cookies" which my brain doesn't compute, LOL. If it had continued I would have had my technically minded husband fix it. Thank goodness it didn't happen on my laptop too or I would have had withdrawals all day waiting on him to get home to check it out!

I assume you are talking about a cell phone with internet access. Try
shutting it off and then remove the battery. It may be a simple tracking
cookie or something more sinister such as a spyware issue. If you
cannot clear it you should take it back to your dealer for help.

On the other hand, you may have your phone set as to not allow cookies. I know DG
and institutions such as my bank store login info in cookies. When I delete all cookies
I must re-login to DG and go thru a verification process with my bank. Some internet
sites require your cookies be enabled before you can connect.

Cookies are on ... and allowed on the phone.

I have deleted the cookies. DG has required occasional re-login on my phone, and that's been fine... But about a week ago, I tried logging back in, and started getting this "you don't allow cookies" error. Bizarre, because they're on...

I will try the battery thing.. I don't visit enough websites from my phone that Spyware would jump onto the phone.. Blogger, Facebook, Verizon's Weatherbug, DG, and occasionally VW's news and sports service.

Angel .. Your not the only oen gettign it. SingWolf is gettign the same thign and hasn't been abel to log in to Dg either.

I wonder if it's an issue with a particular type of phone or a particular cell provider? I have an LG Dare phone with Verizon and haven't had any trouble.

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

The LG Dare is working, but the LG ENV isn't.

I have done everything, including deleting ALL internet history in the browser. All cookies, all cached history. Nothing seems to be working.

Haven't tried the other PC in a few days.... That's a whole other problem..

I had used the bottom of the page "Contact Us" from the mobile phone last night.

Admin sent me a slightly different link to try.

That works.

So wacky weird. I can't log on the "right way", but I can use the new link I received. hmmmmmm..

Thanks anyways everybody!
