here is mine. I borrowed 2' x 2' from DH's desk and set up shop. Here I ck the GWD, research plants, place orders, chat, etc. My tools are in my fave color, red. Looks neat b/c DH disappeared my paper pile. When he gets tired of looking at the ignored piled, he hides it in a drawer designated "her junk" and every 6 mo he clears it out. So far it works and I've yet to miss something important. The only way to keep things neat, throwing them away!
We want to see your office, real or makeshift.
Show us your office, your window to DG
LOL :)
nice!
I love that harp back chair
Maybe that is a way to get the rooms cleaned.... .. Requests for room photos and there will be a mass cleaning on DG!
It certainly worked for me. I used to look at the mess, sigh, and shut the door. Now we need a thread on attics so I can clean that place. NOT!
I got the harp-back chair and walnut desk for free. It's a cute little chair and probably should be used for something other than holding a printer, but I ran out of spare tables. Maybe there's one in the attic!!
I'd have to be nice to DH for 1,000 consecutive days b4 he'd agree to get this 4 me, sigh....

Nice vossner, love the color too. Bet a month of backrubs would do it :-)
I'd just have to be bitc_y for about 10 days and that should do it!
I'd have to get a part-time job...
I love this thread and have to jump in!
This is my desk - I'm fortunate to be able to work at home (medical transcription) so this is where I spend a LOT of time. Note the cat dish, and boxes of seeds that I've been going through trying to figure out what I need to order, also seed catalogs on the left side of the desk.
Sandy
Nice Weedwacker, like the collies and the wolf too~ But think Kwanjin wins prize for the funniest She is busy, when she can find her computer lol.
LOL Thanks, Flowers! Too many seeds, too little time!
Kwanjin I think its cute, mine looks the same way most of the time lol
Thats a beautiful desk kwanjin! Think I saw Flowers on the monitor lol
Thanks. I love this desk. The small credenza to the left came with it. Now, if I could just get it dusted...LOL
Just keep throwing stuff on it and you won't have to dust it :-) Ok will give the thread back now, great pictures show us more!
Nice Merigold, looks cozy!
A firefighter perhaps?
You caught that! Yep he is a fire fighter.
Your Good Quilter, how did you know that? I don't see anything that shows me he is a firefighter in that picture.
She has a good eye! Art to the left is a fire fighter and 2 fire trucks on the bottom shelf of the table.
Thats an awsome computer she has there is all I can say, was too fuzzy to make it out on mine.Bet you are very proud of him merigold, Everybody loves a firefighter.
Kwanjin, good thing the keyboard is on a slide-out shelf or you wouldn't be able to find it! (which reminds me, I need to vacuum the cat hair out of the keyboard today...)
Sandy
Kwanjin, I like your desk. I think you have a couple more spots left to put stuff on. Since I cleaned my office, I can't find anything! Where did I put my W2s?
Merigold: I like the color of the walls in your DH's office. Do you know what it is?
pastime, I'm sorry to say the light in the room is casting a yellow tone in the photo. The room is actually a light gray.
I love this thread - I have a question - how do you like your chairs?
Mine (I think) is killing me. Neck, shoulder, hip, sciatic stuff. Do you all have any advice on how you arrange the chair? Do you raise your feet up on something... are your knees higher or lower than the thigh? Weed - you must spend a lot of time since you are working from the desk. Any Advice??
I think it is Duran --- or maybe the Home Depot brand paint - there is a color very similar to what the wall color above is -- it is called Almond Paste.
Thanks, everyone. I clean it every now and then but in a couple weeks, it looks like that again. I need to vacuum the car hair, too! LOL
I have bulging discs and arthritis in my back. The chair needs to be replaced but, for now, I sit with one leg curled under me or cross my legs under me. That is getting harder the older I get, though.
My gosh, Kwanjin, that doesn't sound very ergonomic! (you must be one heck of a lot younger than me, or maybe - most likely - just in a whole lot better shape)
Missingrosie, I definitely spend a lot of time in my chair. I have it set at a height where my forearms are just slightly sloping down to my keyboard so my wrists stay straight; 20 years of typing for a living and my carpal tunnels are still intact, thanks to that and an "ergonomic" keyboard. I also keep the back of the chair pretty straight up and down so I can set back and press my back against it for support, and I have my monitor up on a "riser" so that I don't have to tilt my head to look at it. You'd be surprised at how much neck strain is saved from just that couple of inches. The worst part for me is having to keep my foot on a controller for the dictation, but thanks to the 2 collies in my picture above I have a good excuse to get up and move around quite often!
Sandy
Thanks.
I find that I am looking up at the monitor. So maybe I need to get it lower. I have it up on one of those 'shelves' that the keyboard drawer slides into. So that raises it up. Maybe that is a problem. My wrists are straight. Someone at work told me to put my feet up on a low box or something and I thought that would make my knees higher than my thighs. Knees sloping towards the trunk... so not sure that is appropriate. I have to dig up a PT at work and ask. The main thing is the chair seat really begins to feel 'hard' / unpadded behind the thigh/seat area. Now, that surprises me because 1. it is a good chair and 2. I got padding enough for even a not so good chair!
My DH says he's glad his old white mugs went to someone who could use them. ^_^
The mess does, indeed, make me feel better! LOL
What chew takin about thats my best china lol. Sorry vossner the devil made me do it! Hi missingrosie good to see ya! Carry on folks, I'll be good lol
