Time to start a new thread. A lot of great photos on the previous thread, so if you wish to go back, here is the link.

I have been out of action for the last month in that I did not take any photos. So, I apologize for having to dig into my archives. As some of you remember, several years ago, I had the experience of a lifetime with a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers. I will start this thread with a few of these photos.
Here is the male in an adjacent neighbor's yard. Over a two year period I took about 500 photos around my house. Since then, I barely see them.
DAILY PICS VOL. #276
One more ..... I'm sure that you get the idea. It was my most exhilarating experience photographing birds. I even followed them back into the woods and got more photos as they were pecking away at ground level. But to have this experience two years in a row, in a residential suburban setting, has to be a once in a lifetime experience.
Hey Lith funny I remember you posting these photos. Always nice to see good pictures of this bird.
Love those woodpecker photos & fantastic to see them that close.
Still waiting for our goldfinches. Plenty of titmice on the feeder & occasional cardinal. Saw 2 female cardinals together but not as many as in past yrs. someone must be putting out better chow.
Nice start to the new thread Linth! Really nice shots! Like your last photo too, nice expression for the moment.
Nice shot Missy!, I know of only one or two Goldfinch's in the neighborhood right now.
Nice shots Hack! If every picture were perfect then it probably wouldn't be any fun. lol I ordered the remote for my camera. I,m also seriously thinking of buying a Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L lens.
Nice shots GP!! Maybe I'll see a Mockingbird this year.
Margaret very nice capture!!
Edited to add more comments.
