MY gosh we had a full day of beautiful sunshine today!! :) It really improved my mood and I even went for a little walk. It was still only in the 20's but sure was nice after the bitter cold!

It was like this Tufted Titmouse was looking in right thru the window at me this morning...LOL!

This Cardinal looked a little possessed this afternoon!

It has been so long since I had a nice sunny day to take photos that it was really hard to get the settings right on the camera. The good news for today was that I am going to finally get the Mode Dial fixed on my Fuji and DH is going to let me buy the Canon SX 20IS too.... love that man!!

Blue Jay looking nice on a beautiful day!

adelbertcat - nice pic of theDark-eyed Junco

WaterCan2 - You did good on gettng that Female Cardinal - sharp image.

burn_2007 - I love the expression on this Goldfinch.

2dCousinDave - I think the background of Duc's waxwing makes for a great bokeh.

Burd_Fotos - I think I like eagle pic no.2 the best.

reddirtretiree - Wow, that's a lot of waterfowl from Hackberry Flat.

ducbucln - great capture of a Ruby crowned Kinglet. Mine don't sit to long in one place either.

dellrose - If you were able to get your camera and get back out i time to snap that Juvenile Bald Eagle, you must have been moving fast. :-)

Methodical - Your White-breasted nuthatches are beautiful!

gardenpom - When you said "First shot - Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher" are you saying it is a Lifer? If so, congrats.

nanny_56 - I checked out the Canon SX 20IS on Amazon. WOW, that is one fine camera. Has a ton of good ratings and 148 user images.

Saw this Caroline Chickadee sitting on a limb and snapped this photo just as it left.

I played around with Elements 7 enhancing it.

I still have quite a few Pine Warblers around.

My new Sigma 150-500 lens arrived today. I only had time to snap one pic before I had to go back to school to "run" a lab for a class of students aspiring to be nurses.

Here is the original - nothing done to it. The distance to the cardinal was about 30 yards. This shot is hand-held. OS (image stabilization) was on. Zoomed all the way out to 500mm. It was late in the afternoon and cloudy. I'm looking forward to a sunny day with it - maybe tomorrow.

Here it again, cropped (but, otherwise not enhanced). I wanted see how it did when I enlarged it. I'm happy with the image. Can't wait to be close to a bird when I use "Bigmos".

And here is Bigmos, compared to my Canon 70-300 lens (I used to think it was big.) Neither one is zoomed out, they are in their "short" size.

Wow! She sure is pretty just cropped like that.

Melbourne, FL

No, Hack....I meant first of two shots on the Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher. They have been around in the wintertime before. Thanks, though.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Wow, Hack! I could never handle anything like that. Plus the addiction of buying more lenses! That is why I stick with the Point & Shoots! lol

To have a working Mode Dial again will be HUGE...instead have having to leave it in one mode and hope for the best!

Northern Flicker yesterday...hope you aren't sick of him yet.
