The Common Grackle "Spot" is still hanging around.
DAILY PICS VOL. 275
Great variety, Rose. Love that beautiful Meadowlark.
Boy...we're rocking now!!
Rose, fabulous eagle shot!
Nice shots Red, Rose and Duc!
Rose, Love the Meadowlark and congrats on getting the Eagle!
Red-bellied wp has not come right to the suet feeder with tailboard as yet. DH thought he saw one nearby checking it out, crossing fingers & toes here.
Rose, great photos!! That eagle is great and I just love that meadowlark-wow!! The nuthatch is really clear and spot looks happy with the food. That finch is so cute all fluffed up. Love the bluebird too. Your juv eagle is good too. They're so hard to photograph.
Nice one adel! I'm hoping to see the female Spotted Towhee tomorrow at Palmyra.
Here's some great info on how birds sing.

It has been so long since I had a nice sunny day to take photos that it was really hard to get the settings right on the camera. The good news for today was that I am going to finally get the Mode Dial fixed on my Fuji and DH is going to let me buy the Canon SX 20IS too.... love that man!!
Blue Jay looking nice on a beautiful day!
adelbertcat - nice pic of theDark-eyed Junco
WaterCan2 - You did good on gettng that Female Cardinal - sharp image.
burn_2007 - I love the expression on this Goldfinch.
2dCousinDave - I think the background of Duc's waxwing makes for a great bokeh.
Burd_Fotos - I think I like eagle pic no.2 the best.
reddirtretiree - Wow, that's a lot of waterfowl from Hackberry Flat.
ducbucln - great capture of a Ruby crowned Kinglet. Mine don't sit to long in one place either.
dellrose - If you were able to get your camera and get back out i time to snap that Juvenile Bald Eagle, you must have been moving fast. :-)
Methodical - Your White-breasted nuthatches are beautiful!
gardenpom - When you said "First shot - Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher" are you saying it is a Lifer? If so, congrats.
nanny_56 - I checked out the Canon SX 20IS on Amazon. WOW, that is one fine camera. Has a ton of good ratings and 148 user images.

Hack
My new Sigma 150-500 lens arrived today. I only had time to snap one pic before I had to go back to school to "run" a lab for a class of students aspiring to be nurses.
Here is the original - nothing done to it. The distance to the cardinal was about 30 yards. This shot is hand-held. OS (image stabilization) was on. Zoomed all the way out to 500mm. It was late in the afternoon and cloudy. I'm looking forward to a sunny day with it - maybe tomorrow.

Wow! She sure is pretty just cropped like that.
No, Hack....I meant first of two shots on the Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher. They have been around in the wintertime before. Thanks, though.
Wow, Hack! I could never handle anything like that. Plus the addiction of buying more lenses! That is why I stick with the Point & Shoots! lol
To have a working Mode Dial again will be HUGE...instead have having to leave it in one mode and hope for the best!
Northern Flicker yesterday...hope you aren't sick of him yet.
