New D-Mail Notifications Not Working

The number of new D-mails I've received are not being displayed under the D-Mail tab. I didn't realize I had new messages until I went to compose one. New ones are, however, showing on my Home Page. I'm using a PC with Firefox. The first message I didn't know I'd received was sent today at 12:03 AM.

Is it me, or is this happening to anybody else?

I removed the notification that appears on every single page for performance reasons. I plan to reintroduce it at some point in the future (after I've done some optimization) but for now, the notification will only occur on the homepage.

My two cents worth....I hope it does get reintroduced again. I very seldom hang out on the home page and maybe only check it once a day or every few days. In the meantime, I'll try to check it more often.

Yes, it's a very nice feature, for certain. I need to make a way to make it more optimized before I can put it back up, though. As more traffic comes to the site, things get overloaded unless I do things to make them always faster.

I never go to the home page, only to the southwest gardening section. So I'm really missing this feature. At first I thought I wasn't paying attention well enough. Glad to know I'm not quite going senile yet :) Please bring it back soon!!
