I just remembered - Last year I got a freezer that I never used ! Still in the box.

I've been thinking of an extra freezer, but I would only want a small one. I was wondering if I could turn up my small fridge enough to freeze.
Why is yours not yet used Sherrie?

Didnt grow enough to put in it. Maybe next year. ohhh 13 more hours will be this year!

I have an extra freezer in the garage, I used to put meat in there but hubby kept tripping the circuit breaker, I got tired of cooking 10 lbs of meat at a time! Now it just holds ice cream....that's probably why I get so many kids here, now that I think about it lol

My extra freezer IS the garage this time of year.

true Victor, my screened porch comes in handy as a refrigerator!

I worked in a restaurant years ago that was haunted. The previous owner committed suicide in the upstairs room. The lore is that his spirit is still there to this day. Some funky things did happen that couldn't be explained. Like the light that would come on as we were all leaving. We knew Teddy was looking for a nightcap and left it at that. Teddy wasn't scary, we all thought he was lonely. Poor guy. I'm not a fanatic of paranormal stuff but I will not discount it either. There are too many things that can't be explained. Makes life more fun!

I agree. Wow - interesting.

For anyone interested, there is a marathon of Ghost Lab on Discovery.

I have always belived in the paranormal, didn't go over very well with the Nuns. lol Anyways, my DDMIL and I would talk about it and she said she'd send me a sign if she could once she was passed over. She passed away Sept. 22, 2005, on Sept. 23 a cardnial appereared outside my back door on the deck, I hadn't seen one in over 8 months. She & I had been talking about not seeing them approx. 2-3 weeks before she passed, so I thought this might be a sign. I knew it could also be just a coincidence so I walked outside and said "Vie, if thats you...I need another sign, one that I can't doubt."
The next morning a very, very large BLUE morning glory was blooming on the fence off the back deck. I did not plant blue morning glories that year, or the year before, but blue was Vietta's favorite color, and mine. Besides, it was Sept........if blue morning glories were grownig there they would of bloomed long before this. It was not only the only blue morning glory on the fence......it was distctively larger than all the previous ones I'd grown.
Made me a believer, but just to prove a bit more to her skeptical son's a angel pin that lights up lit up with out anyone toughing it. You have to turn a little thing on the back to turn it on...it was off it went on. Turned it off, it when on, he let the battery die in it and it came on again anyways the night before one of his big surgeries. She was just let him know she was there for him. A few other things too, but I won't go into all of them.
Then there was the last little gift........Sophie. Brian once saved a little white rabbit with red eyes from the ferral cats, he gave it to his Mother and she named it Ruby. Most of you know how Sophie was found outside our house, she wasn't there, and then 10 minutes later she just appeared. Brian ran out and saved her from the hawk who was eyeing her, and now he has a white rabbit with pink eyes.
I do believe....^_^

just to reduce the whole thing to scientific thought, energy doesn't disappear it changes form.

Wow - great story, Celeste.

The strangest thing I ever experienced was when my grandfather died. We were very close. At the funeral home on the morning of the service and burial, I went to the men's room and was washing at the sink. I bent over to wash my face, and when I looked up at the mirror, one cheek appeared to be entirely covered with blood! Lasted only briefly. I later thought that if he wanted to send me a message, it could have been a nicer one!

Only one occurrence at our house. Shortly after we moved in, we returned one evening and as we walked in from the garage, we both heard very distinct footsteps upstairs that went across the ceiling (1st floor) which corresponded to going through a number of rooms and walls upstairs. A hilarious keystone cop moment followed, as I opened the drawer to get a knife. I first pulled out the bread knife. Then the cleaver! Finally got the butcher knife. Guess whatever it was concluded that I would never be a threat since I never had any more experiences since!

ESP moments are something else. Have had MANY of them. Deja vu too.

(Zone 5b)

I don't know, Victor, I think a cleaver could do some damage...don't want to find out, but I think it could *grin*
In my mother's house you would be lying in bed and you'd hear somebody breathing....tell yourself it's your own breathing....time it to your breathing, then in a last ditch effort to convince yourself it was your own breathing, you'd hold your breath and STILL hear it. Put the light on. Hold your breath again. My father always wondered why all the lights were always on. That only happened in one certain bedroom.
