I got home at 11 last night...ugh could have strangled that middle kid of mine.
Took him the camcorder so I would be able to see littlest GS unwrap all the toys and son says "I didn't buy any toys he needed clothes".

I say "WHAT all those presents are CLOTHES , what alien abducted you, when did you never have toys form Santa".
Well one is a toy rifle, he says. and he will have plenty at your house.

Santa comes here NOT to Grammas.

No pressure there JJ, think I would have smacked him with my fuzzy slipper full of coal for that one LOL. I Think daughter is gonna set up web cam and computer in living room so I can see kids open theirs. Such fun to watch.

Amazing...Mom and dad take care of needs, but Santa is all about wants.....$30 at Wal-mart, Big Lots or the Dollar store puts toys under the tree....maybe MDson is a pod person....grin. Good on you Grandma

The stores were crazy and by the time I had been through K mart, target and Toys r Us and still had only one toy I headed to Wally World and decided it was time to stop checking the prices...very hard for me to do..

What the heck happened to a plain old tonka dump truck..turned plastic need a DVD player and batteries. But I prevailed and he has toys thats the important thing.

Started raining when I was ready to head home and 32° out so I got some KFC to take home. DH says what you doing with chicken at 11 at night I'm like well it was raining and starting to freeze so if I ended up in ditch I didn't want to starve.
12 piece bucket and a case of diet coke and a bag of oranges I was good for awhile. LOL

The votes are steadily coming in and its gonna be close for sure, The excitement is rising but I'm gonna wait until in the morning to post the winner LOL I love being on this end of it and knowing something yall don't he he he.

I really don't have a clue what that boy was thinking..only GS mom is taking him late Christmas eve night and Christmas morning and on gets him back late Christmas morning and he's kind of bummed over that this is the first Christmas they have been split.

He is opening presents Christmas eve morning like its Christmas...Dillon is three he don't know the difference.

Oh well its all taken care of now

enough chicken for a couple of days and something to wash it down, good deal JJ. It doesn't look like I'm gonna get out of here until spring. Tried to pull up the driveway yesterday but ole Betsy wouldn't go into four wheel drive. Think she has to be rolling for it to kick in, and if it won't pull thru all the snow thats hard to do lol.Son in law had to park at top of drive to drop off and pick up kids its still so deep.

We need to encourage the readers to be voters too. grin

Don't you just love it when you finally need the four wheel drive it won't work. Mine done that last year. All the slush had frozen something on the wheel so it wouldn't engage.

When everything warmed up it started working again....didn't need it then geesh

ok I need to vent because I just went off on the kids' mother! That woman just called me screaming at ME because HER daughter called her. Well Amanda is 12 a time when every little girl NEEDS thier MOTHER...arggghhh! and Now we maybe getting her other son Nathan in 2 weeks cause she can't 'handle' it....
she was 24 when she had Matt (he'll be 20 in Feb) and she 'couldn't handle it'
then she had Austin (be 15 in March) and 'couldn't handle it'
Then Amanda (be 13 in April) and 'Couldn't handle it'

so she left them all here
Now Nathan is 4, if she couldn't 'handle it' the first 3 times what made her think the 4th was gonna be different?

Yes I get frustrated with the kids....we all get frustrated with our kids...but we don't walk away from them! We may take a walk to calm down or a drive, but we don't scream at our kids and tell them we're not mommy anymore

It just makes me angry because I wish I could have 1 more and she just dumps them left and right...sorry I'm done now

Trina,if they don't arrive soon,I'll have to ring them again,problem is,the roads around here are quite slippery with frozen snow,like they are where you are I think and we're wondering if their vehicles stuck somewhere!!,we're using a small electric fan heater in sitting room at min,only heating in house other than oven,on in kitchen,upstair's freezing.

I guess it's a good thing she lives in Florida and not here cause I was fighting mad earlier, make that baby cry 2 days before christmas. No I don't celebrate christmas but it is important to them and all she wanted was to tell her mom Merry Christmas, and instead got screamed at

My DH's the one who's always going through the fridge to check eat /use by dates,he sometimes gets rid of stuff that's ok,but it's probably for the best:}

If she treats that baby anything like she has her other 3 it's probably best that he comes here then....I always got room in my heart for one more....but I was definately fighting mad this morning, went for a wet walk so the kids wouldn't see me quite so angry

Aah poor kid,he's only 14 too.Helping to clean's good,but not for that reason.
