Very nice, Dana!
I do worry about the people alot, I pray for everyone everynight that they are warm and safe and fed and healthy.. I know about homeless.. I have been in that situation and promised myself I would never let my children get in that situation when I was younger. There are alot out there that the shelters and charitys have no clue about.
I have no control over anything, except my faith in God to watch over his sheep.

It is very very cold here. Thank God I have a nice warm house.

.God bless them all.

Wow Dana, looks great! Please post a pic, when it blooms.
Here'a pick of my first batch of seedlings. As, you can see, they are in bad need of transplanting, which I am getting ready to do, right now.

Dee how old are those seedlings? They look good and healthy

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I started them on on Nov. 4th.They sure have grown quickly. I did transplant them tonight and planted them deeper in the new pots. I haven't had the fan on them enough and they were a little floppy, from having weak stems, and too small of pots. I think they will be fine now, tho.

New seedlings need a lot of light, you are not just trying to Winter them over, you are starting new life that really wants to get going. The faster start you get the better chances you have in getting a bloom the first year. Good luck.

Ken, since transplanting them, I have them in more light. They have always been under florescents, but probably not as much as they needed. Now they are lined up directly under them.I definately need more grow lights.
Debra, while I have never been homeless, I also went thru lots of things as a child that I wouldn't wish on anyone else, but I think it makes us who we are, don't you? Makes you know that you can survive about anything, and have more compassion for others.
I have several nice brug crosses that I am anxious to get started. Need to put some more to soak today.
How's everyones weather conditions this morning? Snow, snow, and more snow, here.

Poor Dee, no more snow here just below zero temps to go with the frozen snow we already have here.. up north of state they got another foot tho..
I like your brug babies, they look good. I have some seedlings under a hatchery light. it uses a 300 wat bulb and is very warm and bright. I am going to get a couple more when I am feeling brave enough to stop the car and get out to go in somewhere other than work, or home. LOL

North Atlanta getting some snow, we got a trace but not enough to hurt anything.
The wind was blowing earlier. They are getting exciting in the news tv.

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

You can bet, they will be pricey too. 16 degrees here this AM. We live south of Atlanta and did not get much snow but we got some ice-sleet and what we have crunches. That is what on tv this AM, news of the snows in Atlanta. NO "Goodmorning America" at all.May try to plant some flower seed today, just to get my hands in the "Dirt" ☺
Goodmorning, Everyone....

I'm not sure it is all that good for the growers, most are not set up for this much extreme in themps. I planted close to 40 new Gingers that should be safe in my zone and another 15 that were borderline. I will be lucky if half make it. Keeping our hoophouse temps up to where I would like would cost us an extra $120. a month and we are only heating the one. With the economy the way it is, people are not spending what they would so we have cut back. No reason to grow plants that are not going to sell. For the growers that are growing the plants, they will need to add on the extra fuel cost. This Fall / Winter it has averaged close to 10 degrees colder every day from our normal temp for the last six weeks. I am not one of those that keeps saying I can't wait until Spring but I do wish it would just go back to a normal Winter.

Does it have some good roots? That is so cute.
We just have a couple more month and it will be time to plant
them out. I am so ready. Where there is life there is hope....

CG is an olde but a goode. It is one of the more fragrant brug. It will not disappoint you in color or blooms. We lost ours to SB but he was a trooper until then.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

That is awsome. I bet you are so kacited. I just love seeing sticks turn into trees and bushes.
Mine is really going to town, he was so ate up this summer, but now he is beautiful in a tree form. I can't wait!
