The bluebirds come by everyday to check the worm feeder.

my first Yellow-rumped Warbler of the season.

I had a whole flock of Pine Warblers to blitz the yard.

A pair of House Finch that are always around.

The Brown-headed Nuthatches have become regulars.

This Tufted Titmouse seemed to prefer acorns rather than the seeds and nuts in the feeders.

Pied-billed Grebe with a small fish.

Wonderful Shots Everyone!! I was so glad to have sunshine today. I think these are my best efforts so far.

Trying to trick Elvis, Ive been putting peanut's under the bark so he likes nothing but peanuts ha! and will come to the feeder or the tree that's closer... will see.

I finally have birds!!! We put out food almost four weeks ago... not a bird one until the big snow hit! Now they love us!

VA_Wild_Rose - glad your birds are back and yep, that last bird is a male Dark-eyed Junco. Is is a Lifer for you?

adelbertcat - nice pic of the Pied-billed Grebe with the small fish small fish. About how far away were you and what lens did you use?

Love the Cape May reports, Pell. Amazing pics, all. Especially fond of the bluebird clan. You've captured their personalities, Frank. BTW, that most certainly is a junco. Waiting to be at home in the light to take pics here in the shortest days of the year!!

House finch in flight. I like everything except the near wing.

VA_Wild_Rose - I'd bet Virgil would like to get better acquainted with that WP. What do you reckon it is, a Downy or a Hairy? I just enlarged it and saw the red on the back of his neck, and the tail feathers looked solid white. So, I say it was a male Hairy WP.

Hey, Burd_Fotos - congrats on the new bird. That Fox Sparrow is a pretty little thing.

2ndCousinDave - even with the near wing as it is, I still like the shot. Unusually bright red on your HF.

Merry Christmas everyone. I haven't had much more than house finches at my feeder lately; but I did manage to get a few bird pics at the zoo last week.

Here's an African Crowned Crane. Next time you're having a "bad hair day", just think of this fellow.

Usually the scarlet ibis are very passive and don't even pay attention to people. This one was quite the little show off. Every time I told it, "You're a pretty bird", it would spread out its wings for me. It was almost like it had been trained to respond to being called pretty.
