I'm guessing this is a lighter colored female Dark eyed Junco.

I liked this one. These birds are constantly coming to the peanut butter and nuts log. The other birds spill the goodies out of the holes higher up and the Juncos catch the droppings in the lower branches.

Duc, How lovely. I sure wish I would see more Cedar Waxwings. I'm alway so amazed at your photos. :-)

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

No cedar wax wings yet either. No room at this feeder. Patti

Great shots on the last thread everyone!! Duc thanks for the new thread. Well we all know that today is the first day of winter (booo) but look at it this way, there's only 90 days left until spring. :) lol
Duc, hope your feeling better... Nice shots as always!
bbrookrd, nice shot! I see you have a Song Sparrow at your feeder, I can only get House Sparrows, wish I had several different ones instead.
First time to have a Junco land on the feeder today.

Burd_Fotos, wonderful shots. I will learn so much from seeing them up close through your photo's. Thanks.

So far we are long on Robins, cardinals, Goldfinchs, m.doves and song sparrows but not much else yet. Patti

Wonderful pics everyone!

PERTH, Australia

These Black Swans were having a drink and a bit of a splash around in a couple of inches of water from the reticulation on the road verge down by the river yesterday. Four nearly fully grown juveniles are flanked by an adult on each end.

Great photos guys!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Great start Duc!

Beautiful Swans Margaret!

Nice RBN Burd.....Elvis is doing it on purpose just to frustrate you!

Dave & Met...Gorgeous as always!

Maybe the sun will shine here again someday.....

Mashpee, MA

Love all of the shots!! The swans shots are great.

Burd....so jealous of your red-breasted nuthatch shot!! We don't get many here and I haven't seen one yet this winter. I had a pretty feisty pair last winter which was great fun.

Dave, I had a pair of aggressive mockingbirds here over the summer...they drove the bluebirds nuts!

Bluebird Banquet is very popular right now:

Bbrookrd, sorry you don't have any waxwings, but your little ones are colorful too.
Burd, thanks, I had a crummy night with the coughs but am determined to get well soon. Elvis is gorgeous and the nuthatch and junco were so pretty too.
Adel, great one of the towhee.
Margaret, love those Black Swans. That's cute the way the parents (?) surround the young ones for security.
Met, your birds are amazingly clear and crisp. Great job.
Dave, another set of gorgeous photos.
Sacar, cute bluebird shot too!
