I planted a seed, and gave it a kiss, I blew life into it carefully, it started to peep out and raise its head, I had to dance around in glee, I watched it vine upward towards the light, I gave it some support, I watched its' heart leave pattern aglow, and saw the swell of buds,
the one day I forgot to come down, to turn on the morning sun, it waited for me like such a child, with a bloom in all yit's glory..I turned on your sun and to my delight... this beautiful seed came from bluesprial, the beautiful shibouri

It is February, here we go, a few weeks it will be spring. Spring for me is anytime, as long as I can see green.

With the week long freeze we had a few weeks ago, my brand new Black and Blue Salvia got fried. I was outside today, and see new leaves coming from the bottom. Apparently it is one tough plant! :-) The daylily leaves are hanging in there, too! But everything else is dead and brown. :-(

I now have 2 hummers in my yard. One in the front and one in the backyard. With all the plants dead, thank goodness I have 2 feeders up! I sure miss the green.

I will never look at a plastic soda bottle or water bottle the same again! You make use of everything, Debra! Pretty neat! Love your penta, too. Pink blooms?

Duke doesn't like the snow anymore, neither do I.. we are ready for it to go away for another year or so..

Pink blooms on Pentas, yes.. your B&B will come back even Hardier for you, they winter over outside for me and double in size every year. Your Day Lillys will prolly be even bigger too. I am so glad you are feeding my hummers LOL notice I said "My?" I miss my hummers.. but I do have alot of birds here.. This guy was hiding from Duke, the feeder is by the windmill on this fence.. I took this from the back door with my zoom.. it was too cold to go out and Bird Watch .. ugh!

Debra,
I see that you recycle polystyrene. Great!

You know when cabin fever is affecting you when---
You talk to your plants!

You know when cabin fever is getting the best or you when---
Your plants talk back to you!

You know when cabin fever has you licked when---
You and your plants have a love affair,
You hug and kiss them, tuck them in, and tell them good night!

Got to go now, i have to count the new leaves on my baby broccoli this morning, before I drive to work. I hope my violets didn't miss their daddy last night.
