Hi Joy...we humans are almost as confused as the plants...grin. Hope your Dad continues to improve. Have a good afternoon and batten down the hatches for your impending snow.

Thanks all...I was surprised to see them blooming.

Think that cross country night ride on the Hot Wheel must have worn our Buddy out...grin

Wonder if Lynnie's cat glop candy ever firmed up enough to roll...lol

Morning Smiley...so sorry it is cold there...wish I could send ya some hot air, but that would just confuse things even more....grin
Hey Venice...rise and shine, time to play...

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hope JJ is not down with GS's bug....

Good thoughts to all, have a great day....see ya later, Moon

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

No more sleeping in for Dixie crow lester crow.

Thanks moon I feel fine, DH got up and shut off alarm. GS feeling better but I kept him home to make sure. He ate breakfast and so far so good. He ate nothing yeasterday, all he had was popsicles.

Thermostat for furnace thinks its belongs to smileys oven. Woke up and it was 78° in here..bet that meter was spinning like a top...its set on 70.

Joy it would be nice to have someone to do the food shopping.

Lynnie try another batch...hahaha

(Zone 5b)

Smiley take off both doors & call it a jeep ;)
JJ I gotta do a batch of something...tic toc....

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Shh don't tell on me..but my son can't keep a secret even at 35. So he says mom I got your robot do you want it now.

Like a good mom I say NO thats not fair..

Except I bought myself the same one in case I didn't get it so I charged up the one I bought and going to give it a spin and after Christmas I'll take back the other one, I can use my receipt, they are the same and bought at same store.

No one the wiser...hehehehe

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Sneaky you...grin Best of both worlds that way....

Lynn, you can add some lemon zest to the powdered sugar and have lemon cooler cookies using the same recipe as the wedding cookies

(Zone 5b)

I just whipped up some lemon snowdrop dough from my tried & trusty betty crocker cookbook....betty never lets me down ;) it's chillin'...ithink it's along the same lines but less sweet (less sugar)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Okay...time for unveiling of the Piffle tree...(pitiful tree) grin

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Moon, pretty tree with all its little ornaments and other Christmas decorations and presents!!!

I can wait until I get further down on my 'to do list' to bring out an even tinier tree.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Thanks Venice. We just look at it and laugh....lack of space and all the animals means downsizing....kinda feel bad for GS, but he says he likes our "fancy Charlie Brown tree"....he is such a good kid....grin I think he is okay with it so long as there is room for a present or two...grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Its a pretty tree.
Moon and the stockings are to cute

Want more room, is Lynnie watching?? stuff something under the bed, under the table skirt, in the closet, stack it to the ceiling in one corner, in the basement, attic and the garage, under the porch and if thats not enough make him open up the space under the stairs. I'll show my secret later.. have to clean it first....LOL

back to work

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Moon, I found a really good Brom site. It said to cut the remainer of the stem of the flower, which I did on my big plant. Now I am looking at my little Brom that never had a name. But should I cut that stem off? Only about the top 1/3 is dead looking. And do you know the name of it?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I am looking forward to your inspiration....grin.....(My house gets facelifts by shifting and re-purposing....)

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Picking up my all my stuff was a big ordeal!!!!! Wow!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Heya Venice. I think that brom might be a Vriesea....not sure. Only cut away the dead part...the plants reabsorbs moisture and nutrients from the stalk. When it is yellowed, cut it off. here is a link to what I think your brom is.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

You don't realize how much stuff you get out when trying to accomplish 2 or 3 projects at a time...grin I have to schedule cleaning time for after I clean sometimes...lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hey ladies, just waiting on company, think they forgot about me. They better not, I just cleaned this house for nothing lol. Awwww I'm so proud of Lester Poo, he found his voice, I will be honored to come to his crowing party Dixie!! Moon that is a beautiful tree, mine is still decorated with pipe cleaners from grandaughters artistic talents lol. JJ that just ain't right not just one but two robots!!! I'm so envious. Venice I bet your little tree is very nice too, its the thought that counts! Hi Joy, sounds like things are going well except fro dreary weather. I hope you get to see a peek of sun today. It is 45 degrees here so I am staying close to the fire logs for sure. Ok gotta call the shop, blowed a tire on bigwheel, catch yall later. Karen

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Moon, thanks! That looks just like my Brom!

I get swamped when I have like 20 project around me not counting the ones in other rooms!!!!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Karen, hope you remember to BREATHE....girll. Have a good visit...later

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Flowers, sorry about your tire.

Dixie, you don't have one of those phones that has video, do you? That would be amazing to hear Lester crow!

Now chicken in the crock pot and clean off my desk of all kinds of clutter. That is the problem having a large desk. Who was it that had the desk in the corner that was neat as a pin! I wish my desk looked like that!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Same message to you to Venice....remember to BREATHE....grin Pick one thing and do it....sooner or later it is all done

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

That was Smiley. She thought it looked untidy....I thought it look used and organized and very neat....grin

You are working right through your list today....good on you...speaking of which...chaos calls...grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

If it makes you feel better flowers I didn't have the battery pushed all the way and it didn't charge so I didn't get to use it.
That's what I get for not reading the directions first. LOL

Have a nice visit they came to see you not the house.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I'll have to post a picture of that same desk during the summer!

I have to go wrap... something! My closet is full. Catch you all later, call me if the big wheel's going out tonight!

(Zone 5b)

I kicked butt today! I mean on errands, not on people. Even my husband will have presents under the tree!

oh & JJ I saw that! If it can't fit in the closet there's always room in the trash! ;)

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

oops wonder where I posted my last remark....shoot

Moon... Lynnie wants me to throw away all my collectibles..

The trash is full Lynnie. I have no problem throwing out DH's junk...

Dronfield, United Kingdom

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good day.
Happily,my Dad seems to be responding to the antibiotics and is doing fine.He also had a peaceful night last night ,which is also good for my Mum.
Tomorrow I've to go with younger son to dentist straight after school. He's been wearing a fixed permanent brace on his top teeth for about 6 months and now luckily, the dentist is very pleased with progress on position of teeth,so he can go back to a removable brace ,just in time for his Christmas dinner:}this one will be for another 6 months, then 6 months again just wearing one to sleep in,providing all goes as it should.
Still wondering if it'll snow tomorrow/Friday,32f tonight,so probably frosty.
School finishes Friday,so both boys looking forward to that:},they go back on 4th Jan.
DH also finishes then and has some holiday owing to him from employer ,so he has same time off as Sam and Will.
As I've been up a longish while and It's almost 9pm,i'm going to relax a while,at least no work tomorrow,will have swim in morning,then unfortunately housework waiting for me before dentist :}
Have a good afternoon/evening everyone and I'll be back tomorrow, maybe not until later though as supermarket shopping when DH back from work.
Take care all
Joy
