Sorry gang, my chocolate never set up. Not sure what I did wrong.. but DD Angela actually came up with a good solution.

I couldn't get it smooth, like melted chocolate. It's actually kind of spongy. Angela suggested rolling it into balls and then dipping it in melted chocolate disks, which we have because *she* was making chocolate.

So I'm gonna try that. Can I go shoe shopping too? I'm a sneaker girl too, but could sure use one of those miracle pairs..

Hey that sounds like it would work...you could also roll them in cocoa powder or a bit of powdered sugar or finely chopped nuts.

Just whipped up chocolate chip, peanut butter and snickerdoodle cookie dough.

Little one sleeping and sick one upstairs. Must have a flu bug got it at both ends.

DH got home so need to run friend to the bank.
Sun is shining but it is 16°.

Chocolate don't have to set up smiley we could use a spoon...grin

Dave, are you around here? Or Moon? I have a question. This plant that I got from Lowe's a few weeks ago was labled Kalanchoe. I looked up that flower. However, mine doesn't have spoted or furry leaves. This is how it first looked when I got it. What do you think this is?

Hi everyone,and thanks for all good wishes you sent for my Dad.He spent the night and today ,up to about 3pm,in hospital,then was allowed home.He was given a chest xray,which showed up a chest infection,he hadn't had a cold at all,but had been coughing for a few days.The trouble with having Parkinsons is that any infection,that probably wouldn't make most people particularly ill,affects him dramatically and he suffers paralysis of limbs and is very hard to move around as he can't control his arms and legs.He's on a course of anti-biotics for the infection and he's to be taken back to hospital in 2 weeks for another xray.He's very glad to be home:}.Once the meds started to work,he was back to his normal state of health.
Well,we've snow forcast for Friday:},it's a cool 32f tonight,so maybe there'll be a frost overnight.

Venice,bad luck about the cat using your compost as a litter tray.One of my neighbours had similar trouble in the summer.They'd bought a raised wooden bed for sowing some veg in,filled it with compost and before seed even went in,there was a cat[not their own],using it as a litter tray:},they were not happy!!!,and I tried to pretend I didn't find it funny:}
Has the shoe shopping been done yet?,my foot wear of choice is boots,then when it's warm sandles,never really wear shoes:}Strange english woman:}
Anyway,it's my dinner time,so I'm off again for a while.It's been an anxious sort of 2 days and I'm feeling quite tired.

Great suggestions for that chocolate. Or put it on those real thin vanilla wafers, put them close together in a log, and cover it with whipped cream!

Joy, I am glad your father seems to be doing better and hope his x-rays are good in a coupld of weeks. It is no wonder you are tired. Just get some rest and take care of yourself.

Joy here in the States everybody (except me) wears sneakers all the time. I prefer boots & sandals, too. But Americans are big on sneakers. I'm sure you've noticed that on tourists.

It *is* a nice, rich, yummy dark chocolate.... I just got a shipment today from Watkins, including cocoa powder. I'll have to try a variety of rolling confections..

Lynnie,I think I sort of knew that sneakers were popular foot wear in US.We call them Trainers over here.My younger son's a skateboarder and all the best skater shoes/sneakers are American brands.He's always wanting to order them from US web sites,which would be absolutely fine,except the carriage charge is more than the cost of the shoes:}

Those little chocolate covered chocolate balls came out good! Some of them I rolled in pulverized nuts after the chocolate dip. We taste-tested them, now I have a caffeine buzz going.

Well we have new cookies here. Got home and hadn't put the chocolate chips in the dough yet before I had to leave.

Well put the half the chips in the peanut butter cookie dough when DH asked hat I was doing. Oh well I got another bag.....started to dump it in and oops its white chips not chocolate.
