HOHOHO JJ Got Snow....at least yours will stay. It snowed here Friday night and by 8AM Saturday all that was left was wet ground and dripping eaves...grin Your decorations sure do look nice with the snow around them though....and snow reflecting the lights will be so pretty...

Hi Venice and Smiley....Smiley, the fish were rippling the water and with the dappled light coming through the trees it just created such an interesting effect....surprised the toe is all you see ...was doing a real stretch to not get my head reflected and still catch the play of light and movement. It is one I want to frame for the bathroom...grin

Rachel,Beau doesn't talk,but he's only just over 1 year old so i don't know if he may do eventually,I don't really mind either way.The breed of Tortoise that Theodore is,a Herman's ,have an expected lifespan of 60-100 years.He'll be looked after by my elder son after me and then maybe his son /daughter,in the future :}
Dixie,We've yet to find any carpet lint under T's toe nails :},Yeah,his claws really do click on the lino,so we hear where he is,and he's never tripped over :}
Moon,pretty fish photo,are they in your pond?.Raining here too,46 degrees,but forcast to turn cooler and brighter,which is good news.

Smiley,I have 2 pairs of fingerless gloves,I garden in Autumn and Winter,cos I like my fingers free,but the rest of my hand stays warm.

Hi Joy, Got a couple minutes before I have to leave...garbage collection out on the street, giving them time to finish.
The fish are in a pond in the Chinese Garden in Sydney AU. I was fascinated by the reflections...as Smiley said it looks like strange ice over them....grin The skies are lightening some, think the rain may be passed for a while.
I am always excited to see an empty shelf or drawer around here...grin

The reflections in the water came out really well,sometimes water's hard to photo,i find,as it moves.

Trina,good ,glad you got them,you'll have them on the day my boys finish school for he holidays.Will you find room in your bedroom,do you think,I read on an earlier thread that you'd put some Orchids in there,I overwinter 2 tender,but really outdoor succulents in the house,tried garage by window for light ,but too cold,and don't have a greenhouse.

Hi Venice,glad you're feeling better,sleep definately helps.I've seen you've snow where you live.We had snow at this time last year,but none forcast at all for the forseeable future.
Dad is in charge of christmas shopping because all my money goes to pay pills except I am allowed $200 a month for my plant dealings....but that's potting soil, new pots, andything needed for that. But we had quiet a few extra expenses this month we couldn't have planned on, so the kids may have to wait until after christmas like January or february...but I'm evil I think since amanda deliberately broke both pairs of her glasses, which were less than a 10 months old, so she could get contacts, that her new glasses and contacts should count as her christmas. I also think since we've had to bail blake out of jail twice that should count as his christmas....and I think since I paid to clean up matt's stupid tickets and paid for the first 4 months of his SR-22 insurance that should count as his christmas...that way kenny and austin wouldn't have to go without just because the other 3 can't behave themselves
Trina, you aren't getting anything for 3 kids? Why don't you use some of your $200 plant money for the kids? You spend $2,400 a year for plants??? And you are not getting those kids presents?
Trina,I agree with you ,don't think you're evil :},the 2 chidren who've not caused you any problems should n't have to go without Christmas gifts because of the 3 who've missbehaved.I had to buy new glasses in the summer and so know how much they cost,here at least,none are cheap....contacts even more.Dunno about cost of other 2 problems ,but imagine quite a lot of cash involved.
let me repeat that I do not celebrate christmas. and those 3 kids just cost us close to 6 grand in one month
I am sorry if that sounded harsh, my BF knew that about me when he met me, he also knows that my son has made his choice as well and does not celebrate christmas either, we tolerate the holiday "cheer" for His and the other 4 childrens sakes, it's just that is only December 7th and HIS mom is already messing with us about it, bad enough so that my son couldn't take it anymore and yelled at her yesterday. I try very hard to be patient and tolerant with people just please don't try to force me to participate in a christian holiday when I am not christian

how did I end up with 5 christmas trees....my friend Jill died of breast cancer and left me all her stuff, when Kenny was younger I would put one up for him until he was old enough to make his own choice, and he has made his choice... one is the BF's and the 1 other one is a joke from my grandmother it sings only uhm...songs not appropriate for childrens ears and it flips people off...it's funny but yet not funny

It's funny how there's not as much activity on the threads the past couple days. Everyone must be busy with the holidays coming. I know I am! I had to go to the bank today, the car just happened to turn into Pier 1, they have the cutest ornaments.

Smiley,it's 8.45 here now.....I've only travelled in mainland Europe and Scandinavia,which only differ from UK by 1-2 hours,so the time diff thing's new to me too.
Everyone's busy at this time of year,I missed the parcel delivery van whilst at work this morning so the books we've ordered from Amazon for my Dad've been taken to the depot......guess who's to go and fetch them in the morning ?.....well,i don't work tuesdays.
Anyway,I'm off to watch a programme about plants on TV in a few mins.Don't often watch TV,cos there's rarely anything i'm bothered about,but this looks quite good.
